Does anybody else think this is Tom Cruise. I’ve been searching for an hour and I can’t believe this isn’t in somebody else’s blog already. I mean, he says "show me the money" and the resemblance is uncanny. Plus I heard Tom Cruise really likes Arrested Development. Somebody please tell me, am I out to lunch?

He was in Pier Pressure
I’ll have to check back on the pics, but I’m pretty sure its not him, I think we would have heard about it if someone as big as Tom Cruise was gonan be on the show

"Derek" - hmmm. That was also Jason Bateman’s character on Silver Spoons.

It does kind of look like him in the vidcap, but the role is credited to Greg Kohout. I supposed it could be a pseudonym, but Greg Kohout seems to be a real guy with acting credits elsewhere.

I’m fairly sure that it’s not Tom Cruise now. I read up about this Greg Kohout and all I could find was that he was in a stage play, Grease actually. But even so, I don’t think that was Tom Cruise, so it must be a real person. But I still think that the part was written for Tom Cruise because he loves the show and they thought having him on would save it. So they got a look-alike who could fool people like me. But that’s just my crazy theory...

All I know is that I saw Greg Kohout on Mad TV without his shirt on the floor with Claudia Shiffer and yeah...he’s hot! After I saw him on AD, I googled him and saw that stage stuff too. Has he been on anything else? I can’t find a website for him...wish I could. I’d take him over Tom Cruise anyday. ![]()

All I’m saying is that there’s no chance in hell that Tom Cruise would ever take a part as a character called a "hot cop" (at least not the type of "hot cops" in Arrested Development). He’s spent his entire life (and quite a bit on lawyers) trying to make sure he never invites the comparison. In fact, I believe the Simpsons writers hint that he refused to do an episode written especially for him because he was playing a lifelong bachelor without a girlfriend and was afraid it would send the wrong message.
