Lindsay: How do you think I feel? Bob Loblaw’s a handsome, professional man and I’m only used to... well, none of those things.

Tobias: Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over— an analyst and a therapist. The world’s first analrapist.

Lindsay: We’re twins. You didn’t give me access to the banking.

Michael: No, you’d just, you’d go out and you’d just whore it up, Lindsay, you know? Now she’s different. She’s a little bit more like me. It’s like we finish each other’s...

I just got done watching the movie "Cursed" w/ Christina Ricci and Portia’s in it so is Judy (Kitty) and the only reason I rented it was to see Portia and I had no idea that Judy was in it but anywho the movie sucked balls but Portia had a small role she played Zela who was this mind reader and was telling everyone about the "curse" and how there will be blood and what not. Also Judy had a bigger role she played Joanie an obnoxious woman who was the boss (I think) of Ellie (Christina Ricci) she was similar to her character in "13 Going On 30" ..she was a bitch and she turned out to be the werewolf and she died at the end. The movie was really, really bad IMO especially coming from Wes Craven the man behind the "Scream" movies and "Nightmare On Elm Street"

They mentioned Portia’s name on the HBO show "The Combeback"! I had Tivo’d the show, and I watched it tonight, and they said that Portia was nominated for an award at the "People’s Choice Awards" for Arrested Development.

Wishful thinking? Or a chilling vision of things to come?

Anybody notice the way that she pronounces words like "anything" and "anyway"

I can’t really explain it, but wow...it’s very cute...

Welcome to the boards! Nice avatar, too Very Happy

I love the way she speaks; I know she’s Australian, but it’s not even really her accent that’s coming though. She just talks.. well, cute’s a good word for it.

I know what you mean. I love the way she says those words. I don’t know why, but I love it.

Thanks!

Glad to see there are a couple of you who noticed the oddly cute way that she says those words as well. I knew I couldn’t be the only one.

It’s a funny thing, they’ve focused so much on the quasi Odepius complex relationship between Buster and Lucille, yet Lindsay seems to have that kinda thing with her father too. She’s clearly attached to him more than her mother, George Sr values her as his little girl as well, and Lindsay prefers a man more like George Sr than Tobias, kinda overlooking his vast amount of faults while trashing Tobias’s less serious[though pretty gay]faults. Sounds like small little secret incest desires right there[and suggesting incestual feelings that a child has for his/her parent is one of the few taboos AD hasn’t broken yet, unless you count Buster’s Lucille 1 worshipping]

Yeah, I love how they occasionally hint at Lindsay’s Elektra complex.

Does anybody else think that the character of Lindsay got a little flat as the seasons went on?

In the first season she was certainly a lot more interesting and had more storylines.

I think the writers envisioned her character to be a bit different than Portia’s portrayal of her, because Lindsay was supposed to be a, and quote, "liberal activist"...but that kind of fizzled out.

I thought her character was best when she was interacting with Michael a lot, like in In God We Trust and Storming the Castle, it made her seem normal and sane along with Michael.

After the first season you can tell she was clearly downgraded to just supporting the other actors, and it’s a shame. Her only plot became her relationship with Tobias and trying to have an affair...I feel they could’ve done more for her.
