Lucille 2: Buster, this is exactly why our relationship does not work.

Buster: Our relationship doesn’t work?

Lucille 2: No, not as long as you keep getting me all mixed up with your mother.

Buster: It is exactly the opposite. I’m leaving my mother for you. You’re replacing my mother.

Okay, I thought I’d start a topic on Lucille 2 for MonkeyMe and grassy gnome. Smile

I wasn’t at all a fan of Liza Minelli before Arrested Development, but I have to say she’s been a great sport on the show. I especially loved the "Frank Sinatra" comment in the last episode—a less secure/more vain actor wouldn’t find any humor in that!

Personally, I love her more as Lucille 1’s foil, and less as Buster’s girlfriend.

Yay, thanks a bunch Mr. Manager...Editor, whatever. I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I love both Lucilles and their sinister exchange. I agree that Liza works better as Lucille One’s counterpart than Buster’s, but it would seem that she does both pretty damn well. It’s hilarious that Gob ****ed her, but I’m hoping that it doesn’t develope into something, although I can’t really see that happening.

Yeah, Lucille 2 is great and the interaction with Lucille is priceless. I love the fact that it’s actually pretty one-sided. Lucille 1 is so much sharper, while Lucille 2 is pretty dim witted. ("You are so deliciously witty!")

Lucille Austero has some great interaction with Buster! My all time favorite has to be when she’s calling him on the phone reading from her notepad. "... unless you’re planning some grand romantic gesture, my feelings are just the teensiest bit hurt." And she also really helped flesh out Buster in the first season. She led to Buster needing to buy pot and ’my old lady is on the floor!’

oh it will... it will... *winks like lucille 1*
on the Learn section for the season two pre-released summaries (Burning Love, Ready, Aim, Marry Me, and Episode 211 [if that is its real name]) you will see that Buster and G.O.B. get in a fight over Lucille 2 after G.O.B. gets attracted to her.

this is not good...

Yeah, I discovered that last night...I’m a little worried. Oh well, my confidence in the show is unwavering. I’m sure they can make pretty much anything funny. Gob=Funny, Lucille=Funny, Buster=Funny, therefore Gob+Buster+Lucille=Funny. Where would we be without my mad skills of mathematics?

So in "Queen for a Day" Lucille says that Michael has undone all of the doctor’s work to fix her dizzies. But in "Ready, Aim, Marry Me", she doesn’t seem to have any problems with vertigo. Did I miss something here? I thought her vertigo was back, but I don’t recall seeing any signs of it returning after their visit to the Queen Mary.

I discussed this with some people on other boards recently. It seems that Lucille 2.0 has a lot of referances jumping to the wizard or oz. Since Judy Garlands was her mother it seems even more likely.

Points and Cases (I’ve only found 2, I’m sure others can find more)

1.) My Mother The Car - When Buster sees Lucille 1 on the balcony he runs through the window, like the Lion does in emerald city. Lucille is inside whereing some emerald color clothing liek the guardsmen in the wizard of oz.

2.) Pier Pressure - There’s a seen of Buster sitting on the bed while Lucille 2’s legs sticking out the end. It reminded me of when the house fell on the wicked witch.

Maybe I’m reading too into it, anyone else see conections.

Another string to the theory.

When speaking to Gob.

"You have no courage."

She was rebounding from Buster, ironically Buster jumped through the window like the lion whom found courage,
