Michael: Right. Here’s an ethical question. Can a parent take a teacher out for a drink or...?

Anybody have a good idea of the significance of "Baerly"?

Well, her episode is filled with foreshadowing of what is revealed in "Let Them Eat Cake."

And she’s hot.

#4 vcalzone wrote on November 27, 2007:

What DOES that mean? Never really paid it much attention.

#5 Frightened Inmate #2 wrote on November 27, 2007:

In "Let Them Eat Cake," GOB then refers to George Sr. as "Big Bear." Maybe there’s some connection there?

Most likely, it’s just a funny Bond Beauty-ish sounding name.

I always thought that Baerly was just a play on words, like Maeby = Maybe and Surely = Shirley = Surely. You could say that Ms. Baerly was almost Michael’s new wife and almost George-Michael’s new mother, but just barely. Knowing the brilliance of the AD writers, though, I wouldn’t doubt that there’s a deeper and much more subtle meaning behind the name - an obscure pop-culture reference, maeby?
