So, if G.O.B. really is Steve Holt’s dad, Maeby also has a crush on her cousin?...

The lack of continuity in the whole Steve Holt-GOB arc has really been bothering me:

- First, Steve Holt learns that GOB is his father in "The Immaculate Election", but isn’t angry at him at all for producing GM’s ass-kicking campaign video.

- Then, at the SAD meeting he doesn’t even recognise GOB (or his receding hairline). (I’m willing to let it slide that GOB misses the whole Eve Holt/Steve Holt connection—"nothing on the inside!")

- Then, after learning that GOB is his father, he doesn’t realise that his aunt (Lindsey) was coming on to him, and that GM and Maeby are his cousins. He knows that GM and Maeby are his cousins, because of what he says to GM; but if he knows this much about the Bluths, how can he not know they’re related to GOB?

- Why is Steve surprised when GOB tells him he’s his real father at the end of "Forget-me-now"?

- And why did Michael take so long to tell GM that he has a new cousin (GM is surprised to hear it at the beginning of 303)? Why didn’t Michael tell anybody else in the family about their new nephew/cousin/grandson? George Sr. and Lucille have a new child to be disappointed in, after all!

This whole storyline is completely s-ed up...I guess the continuity of Season 1, which began to fade towards the end of Season 2, is gone for good. Oh well. I’m just waiting to see Steve prove that he doesn’t like magic...he loves it!

I accept that Steve Holt! isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I think it’s a bit of a stretch for him to act the way he does. And it still doesn’t explain why nobody else in the family seems to care that they have a new Bluth/Holt.

Because he has another family and not every Bluth knows abt him(They got their own problems)

Remember that GOB doesn’t have a great memory, so Steve Holt! might have it too.

- Then, at the SAD meeting he doesn’t even recognise GOB (or his receding hairline). (I’m willing to let it slide that GOB misses the whole Eve Holt/Steve Holt connection—"nothing on the inside!")

Again, the lack of memory of GOB, is in the DNA, so Steve Holt! has it. You also have to remember that Steve Holt! thought GOB looked kind of familiar as soon as he possed as in the picture he was shown.

Then, after learning that GOB is his father, he doesn’t realise that his aunt (Lindsey) was coming on to him, and that GM and Maeby are his cousins. He knows that GM and Maeby are his cousins, because of what he says to GM; but if he knows this much about the Bluths, how can he not know they’re related to GOB?

Actually I think he hasn’t realized(until Forget-Me-Now) that he is a Bluth.

- Why is Steve surprised when GOB tells him he’s his real father at the end of "Forget-me-now"?

GOB never tells him he is his real father, GOB admits he is his father, which he didn’t do so before.

And why did Michael take so long to tell GM that he has a new cousin (GM is surprised to hear it at the beginning of 303)? Why didn’t Michael tell anybody else in the family about their new nephew/cousin/grandson? George Sr. and Lucille have a new child to be disappointed in, after all!

Michael realized until episode 301 that Steve Holt! was GOB’s son...and well remember that there might have been more important things for Michael to tell to his family. Actually I think the family should have known since in For British Eyes Only, Steve asks "dad are you alright?"(George Sr, Lindsay, Lucille, Tobias and Michael are there), after the magic trick.

There will probably be something about him with the family in the future. Right now there’s too much going on for this sub plot to be payed attention to.
