Michael: So, this is the magic trick, huh?

G.O.B.: “Illusion,” Michael. A “trick” is something a whore does for money... or candy!Listen

Maeby: Can you believe this? They’re still fighting.

George Michael: Yeah, I know. I’m tempted to kiss again just so we can teach them a lesson.

Maeby: And why would that teach them a lesson?

George Michael: Oh, I mean, to freak them out.

Maeby: Yeah? But that doesn’t make any sense.

George Michael: Well, isn’t that what makes it funny? I’m laughing. Go fish. Uno.

(Semi-spoiler for later episodes in black below.)

So I was thinking about how AD might slyly take a stab at FOX after a move to Showtime.

Then I realized they had already taken care of this in the Pilot...

with Lucille’s FOX!
It was not only the first lost limb on the show, but also...
Sort of an eerily prescient revenge for FOX’s truncation of seasons 2 and 3.

Obviously the fox-foot call-forward wasn’t intentional since the show hadn’t been picked up by a network yet when they shot the pilot. Nor could they see two or three years into the future.

But if I didn’t know that, I’d call it brilliant.

Brilliant observation DonnyHost

There’s a scene before the intervention where Lucille tells the family that they need Michael.

GOB replies, "We need ice."

I doubt it was really foreshadowing to the bounty hunter, but it still made me chuckle when I caught it.

Does anyone know what song is playing in the background while the family is playing monopoly (when Michael tells George-Michael that Lindsay, Tobias and Maeby will be staying)? NOT the "Leroy" song that plays for Maeby and George-Michael, but the one playing before that. I can’t make out the lyrics or I would do a search. Anyone figure this out?

I made a parody of this ep. I would show you, but then I’d have to kill you. (children cry)

just registered to point out a few things I noticed in this episode so far.

First off, when Lindsay is first introduced by talking to Lucille, she says "...not all homosexuals are flamboyant." This could be seen as a stab at the actress who plays Lindsay, since the actress herself is homosexual, while not being obviously flamboyant about it.

Secondly, when the camera pans around the Bluth’s boat to reveal the gay boat, we can see the Bluth’s boat has Marina Hornblower on the side. This could be seen as a gay innuendo as it is juxtaposed on screen as the gay pirate boat comes into view.

George Michael is kneeling next to not 1, not 2, but THREE Monopoly boxes. Haha, makes Gob’s Monopoly magic trick that much lamer. A third Monopoly set. Missing some pieces.

And a quick search on Google yielded this: you can buy 2 sets of Monopoly with a twenty :)

This I only just noticed today. bleeping amazing.
