Actually, I was really only half serious. I digg the Seinfeld reference, never heard of Black Books though. As for the frozen bananas, I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never actually had one.

You’ve just inspired me, bees. My friend lent me her Black Books DVD over a month ago and it’s just been sitting by my computer but today (if I don’t get called in to work in the next hour) I am going to watch it!

this is just the all-forum screen name man. if this had been taken it would have been williethepimp...and im actually pretty surprised it wasnt taken, even though its an arrested development forum.

edit: i have had two people tell me that the last two words of busters rant are "diahrrea motherfucker."

...well, not two people, but one person, and one youtube comment. i think we may be onto something.

I think it’s great how they seem to be rehearsing several different Shakespeare plays. When we first see Steve Holt auditioning on stage, you can barely hear him saying under the narrator: "A rose, by any other word, would smell as sweet," from Romeo and Juliet, but his next line is "I would kiss before I spoke," which is from As You Like It. The actual play they’re performing, however, is Much Ado About Nothing.

I’ve tried finding other references to this confusion in the episode, but haven’t seen any yet. Maybe I need glasses...

definitely my favorite episode — chock full of good stuff.

3 times we have the camera pull back to reveal unexpected people witnessing a semi private conversation, 2 of them at buster’s expense. just perfect talking about him as if he’s a todler or something.

also richard simmons and george hocking the cornballer. when showing the mexican version of the informmercial george sr’s attack on simmons is translated to ’i am crazy for the cornballs’ with the same audience reaction.

when george michael is auditioning for the play, he actually reads the same part as maeybe did. foreshadowing the gender swapping of roles that is coming up later.

very dense with good subtle jokes.
