Quotes

G.O.B.: Wait a second... wait, wait, wait. Take off your glasses. Oh... wait, wait. Let down your hair. No, glasses on, hair back up. Let’s just get that hair right back up.

Kitty: Let me turn the lights off.

G.O.B.: Yes, yes, please.

Kitty: How’s that? Is that better?

G.O.B.: It just seems like there’s still light coming in from under the door.

Lindsay: It’s like we’re face-to-face now. Like we’re really seeing this marriage and I’m afraid it’s a lie.

Tobias: (Slow clapping.) Bravo. See, if I gave a performance that good, I’d have my own Alias-type show.

I think "dipped into the kitty" should be a reference or whatever. It’s used in Episode 1 and many others and I think the double-meaning is amusing.

The best thing I can come up with for why George Sr. wants George Michael’s hair is as some kind of payment to one of his cellmates. The way he yells it, kind of freaking out, makes me think there’s someone who’s going to doing something bad to him if he doesn’t deliver their hair. Okay, this is a stretch and has pretty much to no evidence to back it up, but it makes me feel better.

Oh, I always thought he wanted it as a disguise.

#33 Beamer wrote on January 27, 2006:

No, I’m pretty sure he did want it as a disguise. He was scared of what would happen to him after what happened to the guard, and wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. Obviously, being distinctively bald, a full head of hair would be the first step towards a disguise.

I had always presumed it was an attempt to disguise himself as Oscar - which we find out about later and George Sn. makes several escapes as an Oscar look-a-like

#35 Quence wrote on January 28, 2006:

I guess, but it still bugs me. I mean, he’s being watched by prison guards 24 hours a day. When was he going to put the wig on? It’s not like there was a convenient opportunity to switch places with Oscar.

I don’t think they meant for us to think about it that deeply.

I wouldn’t read too much into the hair joke, I always thought it meant GeorgeSr was starting to go crazy.

#38 T-Bone wrote on February 02, 2006:

Yeah, you have to figure he just witnessed a prison murder and so he may not be at his most sane. I think the joke there is that Michael talks about how George Sr. is having such a good time, how easy it is, and when GM gets to prison George Sr. is stark raving mad with fear.

#39 Josiwe wrote on July 22, 2006:

Just noticed this: when Michael calls Gob from the trailer, GOB says he’s lit by nothing but natural light; this is a double entendre. He’s referrring both to the touch-lamp Michael denied him, and, in a wink to the alert vierwer, to the fact that actor Will Arnett is being lit only by natural light during the shot.
