I can’t believe no one’s mentioned the Gob storyline in this episode. Getting married on a dare is one of my fave Gob moments ever.

I can’t believe no one mentions the part with Michael, GOB, and Barry in the bathroom, and when they’re finished their chat, Barry goes to comb his hair and then puts his arms out just like he does on the opening of ’Happy Days’ as Fonzie. Hilarious. I laughed my bleeping a** off when I first saw this.

also worth mentioning is when gob tells michael that he got some major action from some major blonde who majored in marine biology. well, since there’s already one seinfeld cast member on this episode, we all know what profession george costanza pretended to have in the episode where kramer hits the golf ball into the whale’s air hole...

It’s a shame that the whole Gob/Wife scenario is in this episode because it’s so hilarious, yet it’s stuck within the Maggie Lizer storyline.

The sea was angry that day, my friend, like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli

Isn’t the kid who says "somebody give her a cupcake" when Maeby/Surely F starts coughing the one who gets to dance with Ms Bearly, using a plot GM had once come up with.

Or am I way off ?

#33 Chelpo wrote on April 11, 2007:

I’m pretty sure it is, which makes it a callback to when that same kid made Ms. Barely the Saddam cupcakes.

#34 Bear wrote on April 11, 2007:

Heyyyy funny ! I didn’t get the cupcake reminiscing joke ...

Smile

(So I guess that’d make him the "cupcake kid")

I found something else in this episode. Now you gotta look very carefully it’s a freeze frame joke.

Quote:
Lindsay: Big surprise, Mom. Like you ever took an interest in our lives. Honestly, if I ever did to Maeby what you...

Narrator: Lindsay recalled that earlier that day she had received a letter from the high school about her own daughter.

If you look carefully at the letter, you can read that :

"I have contacted you twice through your voice mail with no response" Very Happy

Also it’s nowhere written "Needs more parental involvement", but I wouldn’t read too much into this.
