Due to Michael’s continuing legal troubles, G.O.B. agrees to be the company figurehead while Michael pulls the strings, an arrangement which, of course, ends up driving Michael completely crazy when G.O.B.’s showmanship and ludicrous ideas impress the board. Meanwhile, the mistaken identities continue when George, Sr. is arrested in Mexico for a crime that Oscar committed, and Oscar takes George Sr.’s place in a way no one could have predicted.

Quotes

George Michael: Oh, wow. Hey, can I bring Ann?

Michael: Who?

George Michael: Ann. You know, she’s... She’s the girl I’m kind of hanging out with.

Michael: I haven’t met Ann.

George Michael: Yes, you have.

Narrator: Michael had met Ann.

George Michael: You let her in. See, that’s ... That’s her right over there.

Michael: Oh, Ann. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I know Ann. Hey, you! She’s got a little hard-boiled egg going there?

George Michael: Oh, it’s so cute. She sometimes takes a little pack of mayonnaise, and she’ll squirt it in her mouth all over, and then she’ll take an egg and kind of... Mmmm! She calls it a “mayonegg.” Are you okay?Listen

I don’t think it’s been established that she is indeed in (or was indeed in) a relationship with the big QJ. My own personal opinion is that Starla is a Stalker (a stalkerla if you will). Perhaps the bruises on her arm are from QJ’s security detail since (from my opinion) she’s probably insane and trying to get close to him. Security probably has to restrain her by holding her arms.

I would hope that AD writers wouldn’t insinuate that QJ is a batterer without any evidence as such since he would probably sue them for some type of defamation or whatnot. But hey, I’m no lawyer, and if I was I would not be very good. Home run!

Thank you beefjello! That is a brilliant suggestion! That would definitely make the most sense!

Also, I do apologize for not recognizing the great Carl Weathers as an actual actor (at first)... I just thought he was an extra in Predator (I’ve never seen it) or something and that’s what was so ridiculous about it... that Tobias was trying to study acting from an extra. I should just learn to imdb.com everything! :)

Thanks, guys, you make me smarter!

I’m pretty sure what Tobias was holding in his hands was a tub of blue paint, which then turns into a glass of wine.

Yup. Blue paint and then a wine glass in Tobias’ hand.

Still not satisfied with any explanation of the bruses on Starla’s arms. Gotta be something significant, and I don’t think the writers were insinuating that Quincy was abusive.

She probably had to be physically restrained by his bodyguards.

I definitely think it’s from trying to get past Quincy’s security.

Did anyone else get this background joke? Buster Keaton, one of the most famous comedians of early silent film did a stunt where the side of a house fell on top of him but he was standing where a 2nd floor window landed—EXACTLY like Buster Bluth in "The One Where They Build a House." I studied Keaton in my film class, there’s no way this was a coinsidence.

That’s probably my favorite background joke. I’ll try to find a picture of it.

Just noticed this the other day. A "Hot Mother" reference. When Lucille & Oscar are in bed together, Oscar ends his dialogue with - "That’s what makes it so hot."

Right after he ends his sentence Buster comes in with a "Mother"?

The timing is perfect . It flows together nicely, but you don’t even notice it. Brilliant.

Good catch - I hadn’t noticed that and welcome to the boards
