G.O.B. and Michael prepare for the company Christmas party, making G.O.B. power-mad in the process. After an employee inadvertently roasts G.O.B. at the party, he gets furious and fires everyone, ruining the annual shindig and putting the company in jeopardy. To woo the employees back, Michael decides they must throw another party. Meanwhile, a prankster throws the banana stand into the bay, forcing the Bluths to rebuild. The unveiling of the new stand at the marina is the perfect setting for the employee party, until G.O.B., dressed in a banana costume, gets stuck in the stand and a high Lucille then crashes her car into it.

G.O.B.: Please refrain from discussing or engaging in any sort of interoffice bleeping or bleeping or finger bleep or bleepsting or bleeping or even bleep. Even though so many people in this office are begging for it. And if anybody does anything with my sister Lindsay, I’ll take off my pants, I’ll shave bleep. And I’ll personally bleep...Listen

CONTEXT

Michael: My mom is very stressed out, and, uh, she needs something that I can’t give her. Um... maybe a little “Afternoon Delight”?

Narrator: Oscar thought that Michael was referring to a particular brand of cannabis named “Afternoon Deelite,” a strain famous for slowing behavior.

Oscar: Well, sure. The question is, which way do I try to get it in her?

Michael: I don’t need any details.

Oscar: Maybe I’ll put it in her brownie.

Michael: Hey!

Yeah, I think its kinda got to do with the way nobody in the family seems to be any good with a hammer or even over zealous with a hammer

And that’s why you always give the Emmy to AD.

Perhaps we could teach the Emmy judges a lesson of some sort...? Anyone here have a missing limb (or a clever banner)?

not to discredit our favorite show but this was just a publicity photo. the last few pics from the series of screencaps in the afternoon delight image gallery all are. in the actual episode there are no shots that come close to the photo in question. definitely coincidental.

I think this is one of the best episodes of the entire series. I love the scene at the end where Lucille runs over Tobias and crashes into the banana stand. It’s also very funny at the Veals Christmas party when we see Ann sining so low. I also love when Tobias comes out of the shower (in cutoffs) and goes through like 96 messages on the phone thinking it’s the Blue Man Group but it turns out to be the Bluth company and I love how Tobias glares into the mirror. It looks like he’s going to kill someone. Another funny part is when Gob makes the employes dance you can see one woman moving both of her arms left and right in a terrible dance. Classic!
