Quotes

Michael: Lindsay, I can tell that it’s real. It’s like that feeling that you read about twins having.

Lindsay: We’re twins. You didn’t give me access to the banking.

Michael: No, you’d just, you’d go out and you’d just whore it up, Lindsay, you know? Now she’s different. She’s a little bit more like me. It’s like we finish each other’s...

Lindsay: Sandwiches?

Michael: Sentences. Why would I say...?

Lindsay: Sandwiches?

Michael: That time I was going to say sandwiches.

CONTEXT

Narrator: And Michael was getting an update on how his newest employee, Nellie, was working out.

Michael: (Into phone.) Really? And all the guys like her, huh? That is, that is, that is great. Uh, you mean “away,” though, right? Because otherwise it sounds a little different, but, uh, that’s, uh, that’s outstanding. You forgot to say “away” again. But listen, let me call you back in a bit, okay? Bye. (To Lindsay.) Nellie has blown them all away.

Really? Granted, the middle-eastern theme gives it a different atmosphere, but given that it’s basically a remix of the opening theme, and the little organ riffs in the background, I feel it’s one of the more traditional AD-like songs of Season 3. Actually, the only songs I feel that are out of AD’s style are the new ones that were used in Prison Break-In...

The song in Family Ties is the Oh My, Oh My song not the middle-eastern song.

Whoops, I must’ve gone into the wrong thread to reply, given that Wired posted both songs pretty close to eachother. Apologies.

Although I still don’t think "Oh My, Oh My" is different from AD’s usual music - seems to be in the same vein as I Get Up and Honey to the Bear, Baby.

Can anyone work out the lyrics for Oh My?

This is what I’ve come up with:

Watch us (5x, to fade out)
Oh my, Oh my
Hold me whoa
Your Gonna make me cry, on my own
Just you and me, one more is three,
ha ha, you and me
Oh my, Oh my, hold me whoa.

It sounds like they are saying ’bottle me’ when he sings ’hold me’ and I’m not sure if he says ’one’ in the middle or just humms (but it makes sense singing ’one’).

Oh and who else put these songs on their portable MP3 player.... :D

I have ’Mock Trial’, Tobias’ John Wayne speech and Carl Weathers’ ’Stew Goin’ on my MP3 player.... I’ve never told anyone this before

I have Teamocil on my mp3 player.

And that is the wonderful thing about mp3 players — nobody has to know what you put on them!

#154 Beamer wrote on July 14, 2006:

Unless you go and post it on a messageboard.

#155 Chelpo wrote on July 15, 2006:

Wait... you’re right! I’ve made a huge mistake!

Now what I meant to say, is that I definitely don’t have Teamocil on my mp3 player.

I thought you guys would understand.

I hear..

Watch us. Watch us. Watch us. Watch us. Watch us.

Oh My, Oh My. Oh my.

What are we worth?

Oh my.

Your Gonna Make me cry, on my own.

Just you and me, and one more is three.

ha ha. You and me. You and me.

Oh my, Oh my. Oh my.

What are we worth?

Oh my.

I find it hard to believe nobody has mentioned the obvious reference the title makes to guest star Justine Bateman’s previous television series, Family Ties, wherein she played Mallory Keaton.

#158 Beamer wrote on July 20, 2006:

I could’ve sworn it had been mentioned, but if not, it’s probably because the joke is so obvious, nobody really felt it was necessary to point it out.
