creative license

This section describes things that occur during the show which seem inconsistent or illogical, but have been deemed to have been intentional decisions by the writers. Other errors, which seem to have been caused by oversight, can be found in the gaffes entry.

Episodes

Charity Drive
Helen Maria Delgado says “Yo es scared,” but “yo es” is gramatically incorrect in Spanish. CONTEXT
Afternoon Delight
lull89 writes: “Buster would never be able to get change for a hundred in that change machine.” In fact, the text on the machines specifically indicates it can return one or two $10 rolls of quarters.
The Narrator says the banana stand is dumped into the bay as a holiday tradition; if this is the case, some wonder, why would George, Sr. hide money in the banana stand in Top Banana?
Queen for a Day
Lucille couldn’t have expanded her bathroom into Lucille 2’s kitchen since their apartments are across the hall.

In Ready Aim, Marry Me when Michael and Tobias used his romance package at the spa they had the body chocolate, yet earlier they said that he didnt have any in his package.

Also George Sr got stuck in the furnace, why would they need a furnace in California? (but I live in cold NY so I dont know how it is there)

Isn’t it creative license how AD discusses Wife of G.O.B. in the second season? In "Motherboy XXX," for example, G.O.B.’s marriage is treated as "one night of passion," and G.O.B. and his wife don’t remember each other. But weren’t they actually married for a while? Long enough for Wife of G.O.B. to insist on colorful sweaters, long enough for them to have several conversations, long enough for Wife to find out her parents were getting a divorce. Didn’t Wife even attend a party at Lucille’s penthouse?

Just because their entrance doors are across the hall doesn’t mean their apts can’t have adjacent wall. It’s possible that those are the last two doors in that hallway and the two apts meet at the end of it.

I always heard it as "escared-o"— many words that start with a "s" sound are spelt "es-". For example, a Spanish word for "to scare" is "espantar". So it’s incorrect, but in a different way.
