The 'Worst Album Cover Ever' Thread

Postby LickMyLovePump » May 2nd, 2006, 11:45 am

There's something strangely enticing about a horrible album cover. Sometimes I even buy weird looking bargain-bucket albums just to see what kind of music these twisted minds are capable of producing.

Please feel free to offer your own contender for the worst album cover ever. Below is a few selected 'classics' to get us started... My favourite is probably 'God's Power' by Mike Crain, The Karatist Preacher.

You only make fun of Mrs. Mills' Knees-Up Party because you've never been to a Mrs. Mills' Knees-Up Party.

It's off the hook.

If you want some more great horrible album covers, I believe these are gems:

Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the patron saint of bad album covers. Joey Welz is a musician from my hometown who's "claim" to "fame" is that he was in Bill Haley's Comets. His recording studio used to be right behind the newspaper building where I used to work, and he'd pop in from time to time to tell us about his recent tour in Europe, his independent chart successes or his Grammy pre-nominations. He's a treasure. I have a few of his CDs in my collection, most of which contain some form of Rock Around the Clock or another. The rap version is the best.

The shitty part of this is I kind of like the single, horrible lyrics and all.

But Heino is God. He's never, ever made a bad album cover.

I like the crappy album cover that has a photo of the guys holding yet another crappy album cover. It exponentially raises the crappiness of the former album cover.

He has even done a tribute song/album for nearly every major tragedy that's occured in the past 15 years. His 9/11 stuff was classic, as was his recent Tsunami effort: "Healing the Wounds of Tsunami." But it's hard to top his efforts to help the victims of the Kobe, Japan earthquake.

I never knew Ron Jeremy made an album. From the lack of Moustache, I can ascertain that it was made prior to his career in porn.
