New Subforums

OK, if there were more subforums not about AD that were like the AD folders (multiple posts about different topics, individual episode discussions, etc), what would you like them to be about?

The Office is probably a no-brainer. Editor had the idea for a Daily Show/Colbert Report section, and I had thought it could just be a Late Night section, with talk about Conan, Daily Show, SNL, and anything else. Also perhaps a cartoons thread? Would that be too broad?

List anything and everything that you might have more to say about. Even if someone's already said your idea, say it again. Or just ideas in general. Toss it all out.

The Simpsons, definitely.

One thing I notice we like to do sometimes is create AD-themed games (such as AD Libs, the ranking tournament.) Would this qualify as a subcategory?

And once again, vcal, you are going above and beyond. *starts slow clapping*

Oh, and you too, Mr. Editor.

It's just Editor.

joins the slow clapping, but a little bit faster

But seriously, I think this is a great idea. I recently tried to read some of the colbernation.com board and remembered why I didn't go to message boards before the-op (and that one wasn't even all that bad)!

Maybe we could have a section to discuss books or theatre or other forms of art and entertainment that aren't currently covered in Klimpy's?
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I second the book section idea! I read like a billion books. Also a crazy idea is have a kind of book club.( I know most people are to busy) but all read the same book and discuss it. Whatever thats my 2 cents worth.
I got the information.

Awesome ideas so far. The games section is a clever idea, too. I can't think of another community that has a section devoted just to games, quizzes, stuff like that.

TWoP just introduced thier Rec room and it seems to be flourishing. I think a games devoted forum would be kablamo.

I'm lovin' the games section ideas... What about a welcome section for new members to introduce themselves? It might make the forum a little more accessible for new members, and a proper welcome might encourage them to stick around and post.

Also a Links section might be good. People could then post random links, to whatever they feel like, and then we can discuss them...I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING!

On a side note, I think we should start telling people about this forum. Whatever other forums people here use should be seen as recruiting pools. Like minded people should be encouraged to sign up to The_OP... I refuse to let this thing die a slow death.

If all else fails, How about sexy women taking their clothes off?

How about a creating a sub forum so we can discuss sports. Everybody loves sports!... oh wait. Never mind. I didn't realize one was there, it was covered with dust. :(

That's a good idea, Lick. Somehow, we need to get them a welcome basket filled with chocolate body lotions, kama sutra oils and cards filled with glitter. Not literally, of course. But the Internet equivalent. Perhaps a picture of a basket.

I have a real bad feeling about that. A bad feeling as in "THIS BOARD HAS GONE TO HELL!!!" feeling.

It's fine as it is with the Klimpy's section, people just need to use it more often.
