I just think AD is the kinda show where the viewer is left to think this thought on their own.

I don't think this was the intention at all. It was a reference to a line from season 2 when Lindsay went after Ice. (And I'm paraphrasing):

Maeby: That doesn't bother you?
Tobias: Hm? Oh, no. It is amazing that she'd go after somone so close to my own type. But I suppose we all expose our inner desires.
Maeby: I think you just did.
Tobias: No, I didn't.

I am a lttle glad Ann is back just for the scene with GM and Michael talking about her and the pagent - I have missed those awkward moments when neither is talking about the same thing.
That's probably the end of her since she seems to have dumped poor GM again.

So I'm watching Episode 4 of S3 again and I noticed a joke that was set-up that didn't play out. Allow me to hypothesize:

George Sr. warns Michael about the Triathalon: "People lose all control of their bodily functions"

GOB alludes to destroying Michael's bicycle in awhat would seem a throw away gag.

Was a joke cut from this Ep? Allow me to hypothesize:

Michael wakes up in bed, sore all over. He reaches down and sees a brown liquid on his fingers?

Later in the episode Steve Holt will make an incontinence joke.

Was Michael supposed to have thought he lost control of his bowels during that joke? It would make sense and be much funnier when it's revealed to be oil, and his bicycle instead. It would also tie-in to the gag later when Steve Holt! offers him something for incontenence.

Ask yourself this, if you woke to find a brown liquid on your fingers, would your first guess be oil?

Michael's been oiling that bike chain for years now.
If anyone knows what oil looks like, it's Michael.

I don't buy it. Something about this scene is off. Too many disparate elements that don't come together cohesively.

Completely agree with you there. When I first heard it, I actually thought it was more similar to "Now You're a Man" from Orgazmo, another Trey and Matt film. But it definitely sounded like a Trey Parker voice singing the song.

No, being a huge Trey Parker fan, I thought that too. Mainly because it's an over-the-top typical 80's style song with (what can be interpreted as) innappropriate lyrics. Matt & Trey have said they're AD fans, so they were probably watching it - I know they'd definitely get a kick out of it if they were.

Anyway, this episode was pretty good. Nothing brilliant, but a lot of good moments and lines. Yet another episode that just wouldn't have worked without the beeps... there seems to be some scene like that in every season (Buster's long rant in Bringing up Buster, Gob's sexual harassment speech in Afternoon Delight), and looks like we've got one for Season 3 now, too. :)

However, I've only seen this episode once so far. I'll wait until I rewatch it 2 or 3 more times before I comment any further. Still, in regards to the comments about it being very politically charged - I don't really think so. I mean, other than a few shots at the army and some jokes about church and state seperation, I didn't really notice much. I still say the most politically charged episodes are Sad Sack and The One Where They Build a House.
