I think this is a good place to mention, that I very much noticed the Puma Logos prominently featured on Michael and Steve Holts T-Shirts! I love Puma. I'm gonna upgrade it to 'Buy! Lots!'.

It's strange but I see this product placement as a sign of hope for the survival of the show.

Let's all write Puma.

I like how Steve was like Uncle Mike! That was awesome I want Steve to say dad! To GOB
G.O.B.: If you didn’t have adult onset diabetes, I wouldn’t mind giving you a little suger.

Steve Holt: "Uncle Mike!"
Michael: "Steve Holt!"

That WAS awesome!
I hope Steve Holt stays in the picture, family-wise that is.

So if Tony played the man in the
pussy
footage, who was the woman?
Lindsay: I've always been passionate about nature.
Michael:You're wearing ostrich skin boots.
Lindsay:Well I don't care about ostriches.

That's a good question.
I think it was Annette Benning.

It's either "Shameless Plugs on Placentia" or "of Placentia", I can't tell after multiple viewings. I guess I need a script. Either way, this episode just keeps getting better and better...

I'm about to ask a really embarassing question...

did anyone else not have a clue that 'pussy' was a curse word?? or am I the only overly-innocent and sheltered one here?

I know the moderators will be all over me for asking a question unrelated to this episode in this thread but:
Next week will only be one episode, I imagine...
Am I correct?
Hopefully, the moderators won't know how to unlock these spoiler censors.

I loved all the Michael-Steve Holt scenes. This one was great...Don’t ask “can I?” Ask “I can!” You can control your bladder when you’re dead. No blood, no oil! There’s no “I” in “win.” And then at the end of that, the shot with Michael and Steve in front of that statue holding that hand just killed me.

I didn't catch that but my gf who sat beside me started laughing hysterically and pointed it out to me.

Funny thing is I pointed out to her the Godfather reference and she pointed out to me the Pretty Woman reference.

"I hear the jury is still out on science."

Yeah--my sister had to point out the "Pretty Woman" reference to me, too!

And as far as Godfather connections are concerned, I think that G.O.B. is Sonny and Buster is Fredo: since Fredo is the meek idiot and Sonny (like Tobias) is the blowhard idiot. And then Lindsay is Connie, and Tobias is her loser husband who everyone else hates...etc.

Well like I said, based on that scene in season 1, GOB is clearly Fredo. The older brother that got passed over.

Just watched this again, and although I enjoyed it the first time, I enjoyed it even more the second. I love the "free hats" sign next to the army recruitment guy (perhaps they're trying to entice guys with low self esteem?) and the whole Startled Straight thing. Not only did George Sr. fail to startle them straight (as in heterosexual), he startled them crooked (as in now they want to be criminals). Brilliant!

Hey, we're nice!! Besides, taking a thread off-topic is one thing (keep in mind I was among the people who were doing that whole 20 levels of quotes thing), creating a new thread to ask that question is another. Besides, locking a post is rarely a comment towards the poster, it's really just trying to make sure that further comments go in the same place. That way there's less splintering, and if you want to see what other people have said about a topic, you don't have to do as much searching.

That said, no, there's only one episode next week.

GOB's Final Countdown wrote:I read a comment from someone at TWOP that the drug Steve gave Michael was actually Oxycontin- which was the same drug right wing radio host Rush Limbaugh was busted for using two years ago. This would add to the various political/social satire jokes in this particular episode.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this earlier, it was one of my favorite parts of the episode. Ain't nothin funnier than recreational use of prescription drugs!

Yup, he said "on" Placentia (went to the closed captioning to be sure!), so I suppose you're right. :)
