So far, my favorite is the "switched at birth" theory. It was actually the first thing I thought of when reading the episode spoiler/sumary thing. And of course, Lindsay would lie and stick around, and probaly go around emphasizing that she's family (for example: using the phrase "as your only daughter I think..." or "as your twin sister, you should give me...") which would upset GM and Maeby. It sounds totally stupid on paper (computer), but it makes more sense in my head.

She might even have been switched on purpose (to get a blonde child, or something). It would explain a lot about Nellie and stuff.

Of course it could be something completely different. Maybe the South Coast boutique is having another fire sale?

Yeah, but isn't the whole Nellie twist thing that he's actually not his sister but some prostitute George Sr had an affair with. I swear I read that somewhere and did not actually make it up, but I didn't see it in the 311 thread....so I could be wrong.

Even if I'm wrong, I'm not buying the switched at birth thing. It isn't all that logical, and it would seem cheap and stupid to me at this point. The show has already bended reality a little too much for me as of recent, I think if this plot were true, it would piss me off a little.

Furthermore, I can think of a million reasons why Lindsay would be strangling Gob, and none of them have to do with a big surprise. That strangling resembles both Franklin related strangling and "there was 200,000 [dollars/CCs of George sr] in that banana stand".

Well, I agree that it would be a little weak... maybe for a three episode story arc it would work, if you find out it was all a misunderstanding and Lindsay and Michael are still brother and sister, but those loooon stretches of the imagination are killers... think loading a log cabin on a truck without waking anyone, or getting Tobais as a waiter.

What the hell are you all talking about? Now we're complaining about this "switched at birth" storyline, and there are absolutely ZERO clues pointing to this ever occurring. All we have is that Lindsay finds out a secret. That could literally be anything.

So just to join in the fun, I'm going to make something up and complain about it.

What do you MEAN Lindsay finds out Tobias is her second cousin? Haven't they done this incest thing to death? That is just too much for me. If this turns out to be true I don't think I will ever watch the show again. And I'll throw away all my old DVDs too.

Now I just don't even want to think about that I will burn all my DVDs and AD related stuff in a ritual bonfire that I will dance naked around.

OK its sonebody elses turn now...what if one of these turned out to be true...

I wasn't referring to you. Only to people who acted as if it were an actual rumor from the set with pictures or something.

I have nothing against speculation. Speculation is fun! But we shouldn't react to it as if there's any reason to believe it will happen.

Lindsay's news doesn't have to be too big. It could always turn out that Tobias isn't Maeby's real father because Lindsay had an affair or something.

I wasn't complaining, merely stating my personal and hypothetical objection if that does become a plotline. And it's not like we have anything else to talk about right now anyway.

Who ever said anything about burning DVDs or not watching the show?

Isn't this forum in particular about discussing the hyptotheticals bounded around about the upcoming finale? If you don't want to participate, go talk about Top Banana or something.

I find all this speculation very entertaining in the absence of new AD. This comes back to not taking ourselves too seriously - don't take what I said too seriously!
