Mitch Hurwitz and James Vallely New Pilot

Quick blurb about CBS pilot:

Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz is taking his next family comedy to CBS. The network has given a put pilot commitment to the untitled project, about a grown-up family that is too close-knit for their own good.

Produced by Sony Pictures TV, in association with CBS Paramount Network TV, the comedy is set to star American Pie's Jason Biggs. Hurwitz will write the pilot script with Arrested alum James Vallely. Hurwitz, Vallely and Biggs willl executive produce the project, along with Tantamount's Eric and Kim Tannenbaum.

It's nice to see that Tantamount finally has a project that will really appeal to typical college kids today.

I was all ready to say "Jason Biggs? The pie-[spoiler]bleeper[/spoiler]?" but then I remembered that before I saw Arrested Development I'd have probably said "Jason Bateman? From Teen Wolf [spoiler]bleeping[/spoiler] Two?"

So I'm willing to give the guy a break...for now.


(On a side note: This is the third series that Hurwitz has been involved in post-AD, maybe he's trying to make one of them stick so he'll have a day job after the movie?...eh? )
