I cannot get over how fantastic this website is by the way. Absolutely brilliant. You should get an Emmy for the best website devoted to a TV show.

Come on guys!!!1 Why isn't there any love for Jason Bateman here! He looks so good in his suits, and he's funny even as the straight man.

I wonder if we'll find out more about his dead wife.

I like Micheal but don't like Jason.I loved him when the show started but after public appearences,talk shows,his statements my liking him cooled off.I hate that I feel that way but too me he comes across as a bit of condescending guy,I can't help it.
Especially when I read after Tambor didn't win he said that J effrey should start sending Emmy voters flowers because they were unfair.I MEAN COME ON,Emmy voters gave A.D 5 awards,that was so ungrateful.

Jason is very good is Michael. But I agree he seems very arrogant in his interviews. It's like it's demeaning to him to be talking with the interviewer. Sheesh! He was very lucky to get such a good part otherwise he would just be another bad teen actor.

Are you guys wathcing the same interviews I am? Jason seems like a cool guy, laid back, sarcastic. I've followed him since he was little and he had the 'child actor' syndrome with drugs & stuff, but he's really mellowed since he got married.

bananastand, just because he's sarcastic doesn't mean he's not condescending. It's really hard to tell, on some shows, he seems really snotty. LIke he can't wait to get back to his mini-mansion. But I don't think it really matters, because he's very good as Michael. And he doesn't need me to be his friend.

I agree on everything that you've written about Jason,I was suprised when I visited other boards that a lot of people think that way about Jason, it's a shame it's really such a great show.I know I shouldn't give a toss about what they are like in real life but I always do.Isn't it weird how Will always makes fun of Jason?I first started to think that it's just for laughs but he is doing it pretty constantly..

I dont think Jason is the nicest person in real life. Michael is just an act. But I read somewhere that he was making racial comments to a fireman. It's too bad , but he's been in show biz forever , so he's used to people giving him what he wants.

Yeah,I read too at the official site board but the others made fun at the fireman that was insulted with his kids ,I didn't appreciate that very much,sometimes that board isn't very realistic and nice.
He's used to getting what he wants?Well,he shouldn't been used to because his career was down the drain if A.D hadn't come along.I think he should stop acting like a spolied brat and thank his lucky stars that he is still in the movie bussiness.

About the fireman that article is from the NATIONAL INQUIRER. That newspaper is worst then lying. They prolly made the story up.

Jason is actually very cool to his fans. I am forever jealous of a friend who met him, and Jason didn't blow her off or hurry up an autograph or anything (though, to be fair, my friend didn't ask for one...just wanted to

gawk).

She is totally in love with him--thinks he's hot and all, probably going back to her teeny days with him on 80's sitcoms.

So he might be weird in interviews. But I think David Cross takes the cake on weird interviews. So what? He's married, settled down, and admits freely that he was overboard as a teen with the partying. That's good enough for me.

And I think his interviews are funny, especially his old one with Ellen Degeneres.

not to mention the fact that he turns out an amazing performance.

ALso, he's DVD commentary is awesome.

That NE story is bull. Plus, I heard the exact same story about another star (some reality guy) in a celebrity dumb quotes thread.

It's great to see people posting here, but let's try to keep it civil and not attack other posters. I think it's pretty clear that people perceive Jason Bateman the person very differently. It's also pretty clear that anything you write won't change someone else's perception.

I really do see everyone's point. Yes, Jason doesn't always come across the best on interviews. And yes, I thought Jason was really nice and sweet in person. I thought Jason did a great job as Michael before I met him, and I think he does a great job after I've met him.

All that being said, let's not take this so seriously. Arrested is a comedy that's supposed to make you laugh and enjoy yourself.

Some people like him some don't so what?Thats the beauty of people.There is no need to go over board it's just expressing different opinions .There is no need to insult people if they don't think the same way you do.I adore David Cross but my friend thinks he is annoying.The same way goes for Jason or possibly other cast memebers.Sled you don't have to deffend Jason just let people have they say,that's what the board is for.

Oh, I wasn't defending him, just telling a story. I've never met him in my life. Also, I seemed to have lived under a rock in the 80s because I didn't even know he had some other shows besides the guest spots on "Silver Spoons"!
