True, still sounds like it's far from a done deal... I mean, the Showtime thing sounded like it got closer, and it didn't happen.

Which reminds me:

Insiders also tell me that while creator Mitch Hurwitz does not yet have a script, he has a good, solid understanding of what he'd like to do for the movie, and Universal is very much interested.

I wonder how Universal got attached to the rumor?

I'm not sure exactly what it will be about, but I'm going out on a limb to say that I'm betting Mitch's inspiration came from the subprime mortgage crisis and the housing downturn.
