Does anyone else here get reminded of AD througout your day?

Random thoughts about Arrested Development that don't fit into the above categories.

In GTAIV, Roman takes you to a bar and he was like "these girls in here have low self-esteem". If thats not a reference I will by god jump of a building. Mind you I mean in GTAIV, not in real life.

OMG I've spotted 20 references to AD in GTA - ca you think of any more?

I had the game for a week when it first came out, but I've moved somewhere without a HDTV so can't play!

I spotted literally 5 solid-gold references - as in they've got to be about the show, and another 10 'maybes' - and I've not heard that self-esteem one yet!

I went to a tailors in Thailand last year, and I got hideously excited by the shop being called Pop, and moaned that it wasn't a true AD reference.

Then got my clothes, got given a business card, and found the full name was Pop-Pop! Will be keeping it forever!

Oh and the shop was pretty much in an attic!

I need to get GTA4 back to point out the other references - when Iw as playing it I nearly wrote them down (just because I saw like, 3, i half an hour), but forgot!

I was at a restaurant the other day where our waitress actually asked "Plate or platter?" after I gave her my order.

Unfortunately, I did understand the question and I did respond to it. It was really difficult to keep from laughing, though!

In one of my classes we were working on a poster/collage and I secretly stuck in the Arrested Development logo in it. I just couldn't help myself. :)

2 today...

1st, i'm watching toy story 2 with my kids and in the beginning when the dog busts in the room, it knocks down the cabin and reveals mr & mrs potatohead making out. reminded me of the fake model home falling apart with lucille and oscar inside making out...

2nd, my wife is doing a prison ministry with some of the girls from our church, and asked me what she should wear, my natural response was, "i'd wear your black mini with your red "SLUT" shirt..." she says, "come on, i really don't know what to wear!" so i told to go shopping at niemann's!
we had laugh!

Wait -- why were Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head making out in a cabin?
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I was visiting home for the weekend (Pomona, Southern CA), when my brother was answering my question about places to eat, and (evidently they now refer to it like this) said he didnt know any places in the OC that well.

Me: "Dont call it that"

Jason Bateman was on Conan Friday night and Jeffrey Tambor was on Craig Ferguson (sp?) at almost the same time. Unfortunately Craig Ferguson is a bit hard to watch, so I didn't watch that whole interview.

I've been visiting this thread for over 3 years now, and only just now noticed that "throughout" is misspelled in the title.

I guess that it wouldn't be so bad, except that I'm an editer by trade.

Oh, and in keeping with the theme... I told my wife that she needed to "lock that down" yesterday. However, I forget exactly what it was that needed locking down.

I can't take full credit for that one. I used to work with an editor who had "Editer" on his vanity plate.

I thought it was pure genus.
