I'm pretty sure mine was a similar theme. There was ivy and such around, I know that much. The fact that it was only two years ago and I can't remember is a testament to how much wine was on offer.

ETA: Wait, wait, wait: is THIS why the legal consumption age is 19 and 21 in Canada and America?

Yup, all we got at prom was cake and chicken strips. The real party was after at some guys farm an hour out of town.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

You can't drink at prom?

What's the point?

I think it's to have an excuse to go to some guys farm and drink afterward. As if "Saturday" isn't excuse enough.

Of course, American proms are alcohol free (not to be confused with free alcohol), but that doesn't stop some from trying. A few cats at my school got busted by one of the chaperones wheeling a keg into the hotel room they rented for a party after the prom. They probably shouldn't have picked the same hotel where the prom was being held for said party.

When they were suspended, a lot of kids took up the cause and started wearing handmade "Free the Three" t-shirts around school to show their support. I'm not sure if they were actually supporting the three or just supporting alcohol. But they had shirts, so you know they were taken seriously.

And yes, I said "cats." It's a groovy word.

Don't juice and drive, kids.

I think the Vancouver Olympic Committee has decided to compete with London's logo for most misguided marketing choice. These mascots are disgustingly cute. I can't say I disagree with those comparing them to pokemon.

Oh, um, vom. But I still think we win. Not that it's anything to celebrate.

Has there ever been a good Olympic mascot? I always thought they were just various degrees of lousy.

Except "Springy" when Springfield gets the Olympics on The Simpsons.

(Sorry for the double post)

I have to make an animation for my Digital Imaging class. I have complete artist-block. The worst part is, my professor's a really tough grader (and hard-to-predict, which is probably because I don't know half of the grades I've gotten on our projects since she only bothers to tell us them all together), and I'm really confused about what direction to take the animation. I don't know if I need to make it more complex and meaningful (this is an art class, after all) or if something simple is okay, as long as it holds together. Of course, when I tried to ask her about what she was looking for, she just told me I needed to catch up on the project, as though I wasn't aware of this already (It's really not her problem anyway, where I am on the project right now), and that I shouldn't worry about what she thinks. Well it's a bit hard not to worry about what a professor thinks when that professor goes ahead and gives most of the class C's on a project because she wasn't clear about the bleeping grading criteria (We have critiques in class and then a week-long revision period for each assignment. Did she bother mentioning to anyone that they were missing an aspect to their pieces that ended up being like 30% of the grade? Of course not!).

I think I missed the class evaluation too. Shame, cause I actually had some comments this time, and I would have loved to have owned her ass with the "Would you recommend this professor?" question by answering "Bleep no!" (It'll be an option once I would write it in). That would show her!

No, but really, I'd like to take a bat to her head (Bit extreme?). Shame she had to ruin my favorite subject this term.
