Halloween Costumes?

Postby Blueberry Head » September 30th, 2006, 11:12 pm

what is everyone thinking of being for halloween?

i've already decided that i must be wilford brimley. i got a plaid shirt and a sweater vest at a thrift shop today that look perfect, and i'm just going to put a couple of throw pillows under it for my gut. i also ordered a bald cap and various other necessary supplies over the internet. i figure i'll walk around school all day with quaker oats, antagonizing people about eating sugar.

My roommate and I were talking about getting a group together to be Team Zissou, mostly because we want to make the shoes. I don't know how much matching, powder blue track suits cost, though, so I don't know if it'll happen.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Sadly, I will not be partaking in Halloween festivities this year. Well, not "sadly," since Oct. 31 is my wife's due date, so it's quite a happy occasion. But sadly, I won't be wearing a costume this year, except perhaps scrubs.

What sucks is last night I came up with a great idea for a costume: Hugh Hefner and one of his playmates. The kicker is... wait for it... my wife is Hugh.

Maybe next year. Here's a look back at our previous costumes:

2005 - Shazam and Isis
2004 - An Amish couple (beard grown & shaved to perfection)
2003 - Disgraced Cubs fan Steve Bartman and Cubs OF Moises Alou
2002 - Let's Make a Deal (Monty Hall and contestant)
2001 - Hi and Ed from "Raising Arizona"
2000 - Did not partake in festivities
1999 - "Pleasantville" couple (all black-and-white in a color world)
1998 - Woody Allen and Soon Yi
1997 - "Conjunction Junction" guy and "I'm Just a Bill" dude
1996 - Mousketeers, Annette and Cubby
1995 - Groucho and Harpo Marx
1994 - Spock and Scotty
1993 - Scarecrow and Dorothy
1992 - Gilligan and Mary Ann[/url]

Do it anyway! How much more brilliant is it when it's Hugh Hefner giving birth!

I'm sorry, that was 100% inappropriate.

I still get confused when I see those photos and you aren't Tobias. And if I ever give birth, I'm giving birth as Hugh Hefner. Satin dressing gown here I come...
If the crib is on fire you don't speculate that the baby might be flame retardant.

I still need to get my costume together but I'm thinking of going as Debbie Harry... first, because I've been thinking about it for the past 3 Halloweens and B, because it's sad that CBGBs closes on Halloween.

So far all I have is the eye makeup.

But if anyone else wants ideas, here are one two three pages of TV-inspired costume ideas that I wrote and submitted to a site. Including, of course, your choice of Bluth. If they're posted yet.
Note to self: You are now an Andre Braugher fan.

I tried really hard to get the guy I work with to go to a Halloween party as Borat. He would've been perfect, except he'd have to shave his goatee, and he didn't know who he was, so he passed.

Actually, the other people I work with didn't know who he was either. "You will in about two weeks," says FI#2. "Oh yes, you most certainly will."

Actually, I am going as JD from Scrubs. Only I'm the only person under 30 at work, it may be awkward. If I go to a friends this weekend she's going to go as Elliot too ;)

Another friend of mine would be a perfect Nacho Libre. Except he isn't going to a Halloween party, so another opportunity is dashed.

Damn I wish I could dress up this year.
