Anywhere you like. Talk about all things non-A.D.

Is anybody else here a fan of David Sedaris' work. I would imagine that those who like AD would seem to like Sedaris as well.

They are planning to make a movie of his life, and i have said this before, that Michael Cera would be perfect as a young Sedaris.

David Sedaris

Brother of Amy Sedaris

Amy Sedaris was in Strangers with Candy with Stephen Colbert

The Colbert Report has David Cross as a regular guest

David Cross is on Arrested Development.

Only 4 degrees needed.

I just got up on his stuff because I just got into This American Life about 3 weeks ago (since, I've got three Sedaris books from the library and have heard about 100 TALs), so this post is timely in the life of Jacob. I'm currently in Dressing Your Family in Courdoroy and Denim.

My roommate recently left a book in the bathroom that included a short story by David Sedaris. This is the only thing I've ever read of his, but it made me laugh and stay in the bathroom for way too long while I finished it.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Oh my god! You are so right! I'm thinking of the chapter in Naked where he talks about all his teenage physical quirks... I could definitely see Cera doing all that.

I like a lot of David Sedaris' work (Me Talk Pretty One Day was hilarious!). He has a lot of terrific stories on tape.

He's a great guest on shows like Letterman, too.
