Following the sport vein I'm happy that AUstralia looks like it might regain the Ashes after the humiliating defeat last year.

I'm happy I discovered a band I love as much as They Might Be Giants this year. You don't get that feeling too many times in life.

I'm happy I will be on one of the offshoot programs of the show in my signature this Sunday, talking about my horrible family stories. I'm like David Sedaris, but Mexican and sadder!

I'm happy Yao Ming has become some sort of bad-ass monster that wants to alternately humilate people and score 40 points nightly.

I'm happy I am no longer the pooorest person I know.

I'm happy that I finally saved enough to book plane tickets to Boston in March, to visit my brother. I can't wait to do the whole starry-eyed tourist thing. Apparently you can see the house JFK was born in from my brother's window, but then again, my brother always had an over-active imagination.

I'm happy that England are going to come out fighting in the 4th test and restore some pride to British sport, which has taken a battering this year. I'm also happy that it starts Boxing Day, so I'll be able to watch it,(it starts at around midnight GMT and runs through until 8am)

I'm happy because I think I've finally found a job I enjoy, which is easier said than done.

I'm happy that you're happy that I'm happy that my 7-7 squad beat the 13-1 Bananagrabbers. I will be happy to afford you the same opportunity.

P.S. Where exactly do you want Jorge "Hurley" Garcia to go? He's stuck on an island.

I totally set someone up for a Bum Gets Balloon gag and nobody took it? Wow...

Oh well. I'm happy because I'm going into the city and splurging all my Christmas money tomorry. And the one plus about having a December 28 birthday is that I'll be able to splurge again next week! Also, it's just 5 days until I have Arrested Development Season 3 on DVD. Bleep yeah! :D

Also happy I finished my studies last week and got everything in on time. Whew.

I'm happy because I'm listening to John Barrowman's Christmas Concert on Radio 2 whilst wrapping presents and drinking a large G & T.......

Oh my sweet lord, he's singing The Wizard and I. He just blew me. Away, I forgot to say away.

Edit: Crap, now he's doing Popular with Helen Dallimore. I think my brain has now exploded. I wish this was television not radio. I can hear the audience cracking up.
If the crib is on fire you don't speculate that the baby might be flame retardant.

As much as I think Wicked represents everything that's wrong with contemporary musicals and I hate it for making things like Lord of the Rings the Musical possible, that sounds hilarious.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Oh don't get me wrong, Wicked is a perfectly acceptable guilty pleasure musical and I know an awful lot of people who agree with you and I can't really blame them, considering how obsessed I was with
Side Show
 back in high school* which, I'll freely admit, has worse lyrics than just about anything I've ever heard in my life. And a song in which siamese twins have sex with their boyfriends inside a tunnel of love at a carnival. Do you know it? I'd check it out. Sadly, it's not a tunel of Love Indubitably.

*I still love it.

Dissapointing

no i havent seen it but nothing ever come to australia so i doubt i ever will. I mean Wicked only just got to te UK so you know australia is like number 8 on the list. I'll still totally go to see it again though. :D me and my friend have already made our plans and worked out what self-refential t-shirts were going to wear. Becuase we're nerds.

and that makes me happy
