If you ever want to tick off a cook at a Big Boy restaurant, a friend of mine who used to work there told me exactly how to do it... order breakfast during a non-breakfast time of the day. They have to change the heat on the grill and do all kinds of things that are a pain in the a$$ to cook up your special order.

On second thought, don't do this. Cooks aren't always known for just "letting things go."

Yeah, don't mess with the people who handle your food, it's never a good idea. I had a friend who used to work at a restaurant and I almost got sick hearing some of the bleeped up things they did to people that pissed them off.

Deerhunter's much-hyped album Microcastle leaked yesterday, and I don't think that they've even set a release date yet.

I don't know. Maybe I was looking forward to this too much, or this album will be a grower, but after the first listen I feel like it just doesn't measure up to Cryptograms. It's really good, but there isn't much of the darkness from the first half of Cryptograms.

EDIT: Well, that was fast. I was totally wrong about Microcastle. After the second listen, I love it.

Well yeah, but... but... there are feet in shoes washing up on shore! It's funny! I mean, okay, the "6th foot" was inappropriate. But come on! Family of a missing person or not, the situation is a little bit funny.

They weren't treating it as a hoax at first, but I guess the media got there before they could examine the "foot".

A "skeletonized animal paw" had been placed in a sock and athletic shoe that was packed with dried seaweed, the British Columbia Coroners Service announced.

Canadian police have released a photo of a potential suspect in the hoax:

Rumour has it she was brought in for questioning, but they didn't notice the missing foot at first because they were too distracted by the red paint.
