FOX Starts a new Arrested fan club

Postby pzadvance » April 11th, 2005, 5:13 pm

This fan club at GetArrested.com gives me hope...

Why would FOX start a fan club for a show they plan to cancel?

They wouldn't. I take this to mean that it's gonna be renewed.

I agree with you, but I hope they realize how much there is to do to promote this show. It needs a rather slick marketing gimmick. Hey, maybe we can make that a project of SaveOurBluths in the offseason? Figuring out a really awesome marketing strategy and sending it to Fox?

I'm in too.
We may pick on each other, get into little scrapes, call each other names and occasionally steal from each other, but that’s because we're family.

There is a link on the FOX AD site that you can click on to give them suggestions on how to promote the show.

True, but there's got to be strength in numbers if we all brainstorm.

Cool I signed up, said there had been over 83,000 sign up. That seems large to me but I really have nothing to gauge it on. just hope its enough for fox.
G.O.B.: And guess what else? Dad kissed me.
Michael: How? He looked pretty unconscious in that picture.
G.O.B.: I didn’t say he was totally into it.

83,000 is a large number, but unfortunatly, Fox is probably looking for a lot more, at least ratings wise.

Not everybody who watches the show will sign up for a fan club.

A good promo for the show would be a time slot that does not have so many variables- like cancellations due to sports, etc. If you know when and where to find it with SOME REGULARITY- it'll be easier to hook people.

I, nor do I assume Fox does, expect EVERYONE who watches the show to sign up for the club, however, the average well-rated show (like Friends), would have, I'm sure, alot more than 83,000 signing up for something like Get Arrested. I'm not saying that 83,000 is a usless number, but merely trying to encourage people to sign, and to get their friends and family to sign, and anyone else because the larger the number, the better the chances the show will stay on the air.

But Arrested Development would almost certainly retain far less of the American Idol audience than it retains of the Simpsons audience, and that would be really, REALLY bad. Don't think we want to go there.

Yeah, I only say tuesday because thats my one empty day with no shows.

If it was wednesday I'd miss lost. And that's not allowed. It's just like I have "band practice" sunday nights, or so my work manager thinks...

Tsk. Tsk. Do we have to send J. Walter Weatherman over teach you a lesson about what can happen when you use "band practice" as an excuse to get out of work? :P
