Portia's a lesbian?! Does this come as news to anyone else? I'm a straight woman, but even I have to admit she's bleep' hot! I have to hand it to her, I wasn't sure if she'd fit in with this show, but she's fantastic as Lindsey - great timing, great delivery. And great clothes.

I guess you're referring to the tabloid news this morning. Anyway, Portia has been alleged "married" for a few years to Francesca Gregorini, stepdaughter of Ringo Starr. The Portia fans don't know if the news is true about Ellen... so far it's just gossip. It seems unlike Portia because a big complaint is she's not really out, and she had always seemed to hide Francesca. They were rarely photographed together.

The story seems to be gathering steam... it's been picked up by lots of papers and even the Advocate. Seems pretty strange to link with such a high-profile lesbian in Ellen since Portia has never really come out.

Not in a million years would I thought Portia and Ellen to be a couple they just don't match.
It's a shame that she parted from her prior g/f or wife Francesca , they were a really gorgeous couple .Such a shame...

not to diss Portia or anything, but i just get the feeling that the Lindsay character is just on the show for eye candy. i love her interactions with Tobias tho.

No way! I think Lindsay is pretty integral to the family. She the entitled little princess, and I think Portia does a great job with her. Although thsi season she seems a bit poorly used....

in season one she did have a lot more use than "She'male" anyway. the jhonny bark "where are the stairs" was good, along with "you think you're an enviromentalist, why dont you go out and club some beavers?"

I was shocked that she is with Ellen.I knew shew was gay but she was married to Ringo stepdaughter who is very pretty.Probably the hottest celebrity gay couple around.But it's her life,she can live it as she sees fit.

late post, I know, but I just got here.

Two things- First- I resisted AD because of Portia DiRossi- my mother used to sort of force me to watch Ally McBeal and I hate hate hated it- BUT NOW- I just love her. She's so funny!!!

Second: I think it would be cool if she and Ellen were together and happy- they both deserve to find and keep love!

Also- Ellen is reknown for her kindness and doesn't Portia deserve someone kind? Not that Ringo's stepdaughter isn't nice- I just don't know- but I mean- let them be happy!

And- Ellen's not so bad herself, she just doesn't play up the glamour thing.

In any event- I am a Portia DiRossi convert!

i agree, i think portia has lost a considerable amount of weight. and her teeth are drastically whiter this season. i wonder if she smokes. or maybe someone was right about how she's tanner it makes her teeth look whiter. hmn.

I've been a fan of Portia's since Nick Freno:Licensed Teacher (anyone remember that show, lol?) and I love her in this role.

She does look significantly different than she did last season. At first I think it was just the tan i was noticing, but now i think it's the thinness. She definitely looked better last season, she's very scrawny now.

And as for her role on the show? Come on! No member of the Bluth family is expendable, they all make the show the way it is. And I think in one of the featurettes on the DVDs, Mitch Hurwitz says that the great thing about Portia is that she plays the Lindsay character like as a miniature Lucille. SHe's like a younger shadow to the Lucille character.

Has anyone noticed how bad Lindsay is at accidentally implying incestual relationships? There was "Shock and Aww", with George Michael being thoroughly creeped out. Then, as it turns out now, she hit on her nephew, Steve holt (STEVE HOLT!) in "Sad Sack". And finally, last night there was this classic exchange:

Lindsay: Can you at least come Dustbuster?

Lupe: I no does Buster anymore!

Lindsay: Fine, I'll Dustbuster.
