#218: Righteous Brothers

Why, Tracy? Why?

Postby BlackWidower » April 24th, 2005, 9:44 pm

And when that happened he regressed. Of course, I forgot about that. My ex once told me that I have the memory of a goldfish. :P

Ok off topic. Back on

Favourite quotes:
Lindsay: You have to grab love while you have it. Don’t let it get away.

Maeby: Hey, look at that. We didn’t get swallowed up into hell.

GM: Well, only mine and the one that says, “This is a tricky gray area.”

Ann: It’s a disgusting movie about cousins who are into each other.
Passerby: Are there any more seats?

Narrator: That’s when George Michael finally got close to Maeby, who, by the way, might not be his biological cousin.

Connect that last one with when the Narrator mentioned why the American Remake was crap and you have terriffic irony. BTW, is that based on anything? I hope not because that is such a cop-out by the writers if it is.

GOB is Steve Holt's father. We saw this in an "on the next Arrested Development" segment where Steve Holt was talking to a private investigator who showed him a picture of GOB; Steve Holt's question was whether that was what was going to happen to his hair.

i loved the ominous version of the final countdown that played as that was revealed.

I know this was mentioned earlier, but in this picture you can clearly see GOBs fingers, and it looks like the pointer is still bigger than the middle finger

It is believed that AIDS was originally contracted from the monkeys, no not the band, but the animal. And we just wanted to deal with that issue. Just changing the attitude from 'eww AIDSy' to make it like 'ahh fun monkey disease'

I love that after a whole surgery to re-attach severed fingers, he's just wearing a couple of band-aids.
Maybe you could start jeté-ing, and stop je-terrorizing me.

it's probably made by the song guy for AD... is it not on the DVD?
that's another brilliant idea, Steinberg.

Did anyone see Will Arnett on Conan like a month ago? His fingers were bandaged and Conan asked why and Will made some joke about it but never explained it and then when he was on Carson later they were still bandaged. I didn't see all of Carson to know if he ever explained it, but I don't know if that's why Gob has band-aids on his fingers? Except it is genius that they're band-aided from his sword of destiny mishap since they're the same fingers and all. Maybe Tony Hale really did cut off his fingers...

If I remember correctly, only his right thumb was bandaged, and he said that he cut it while swimming on holiday in St. Barth's.
Yeah, like anyone would want to "R" her.

Postby Her? » April 28th, 2005, 7:48 pm

I don't think I saw anyone mention this; did anyone else feel like they were referencing Poe's Fall of The House of Usher in this episode? G.M. and Maeby kiss as the living room collapses. The crumbling house of Usher is a metaphor for the brother-sister incest. I was just rewatching the episode and a wave of glee washed over me. I felt so smart! I never catch things like this. But, then again, I could be reading too much into it since I've been watching A.D. to put off studying for finals. I'm redirecting my brain power.
