FOX Starts a new Arrested fan club

I'm a bit puzzled. I just received my first email from FOX (entitled "SUCCESS! ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT RETURNS!") encouraging me to spread the word about AD. This is after the show's been renewed, and now they're sending the newsletter/update to fans who signed up to receive FOX newsletters??

Has anyone else received anything from them before today? Perhaps I joined the FOX club later than others and missed earlier newsletters about AD?

All the other newsletters I have received from them have been about shows other than Arrested Development. Not tremendously focused for a "fan club."

Today was the first one I can remember getting, maybe I deleted the others if they didn't look related.

But the tone I got was sort of, "OK, we did our part and brought it back, now help us out and get us better ratings so we look like geniuses."

Which I'll do, with or without an e-mail -- not because I love Fox, but because I really think people are missing out.
