Why, Tracy? Why?

post show thoughts...

Perfect combination of prat falls and dry wit. The first 10 minutes was probably the funniest the show's been.

Another outstanding show. I laughed till it hurt.

And the Gob/Lindsey dance? How quickly can we get that one online???

Comedic gold.

Outstanding!!!!!!!

that was pretty good... definately an easy episode to get newcomers introduced to the show.

although i thought martin short was WAY too over the top.

all we can do now is wait for the all-important overnight ratings....

I thought that was great. Went by too fast though. I wish this show were longer. I wonder if they're ever gonna follow up on those GM notes and Maeby's movie thing. I was also hoping there'd be more between Buster and Starla. That really didn't last long.

It was great.

When I heard Martin Short I was a little worried that the show would turn into a Malcolm in the Middle but it was excellent. I loved it.

The chicken dance, me and my friends are totally going to practice that for the spring formal...

Other than that my part was the mini-ongoing-gag with Michael and Tobias. It was resolved beautifully with the "on the next arrested development".

And at least they told us it wouldn't be on for 3 weeks. I know I told a mess-load of people to watch this one, and now they'll know when the next one is. Sometimes with Fox you have too guess. But definitly a good episode for new viewers, I had one friend over to watch it, his first time watching arrested. I had to explain a little but he loved it. He's hooked.

Thats 1 down. The rest of the American population mines 23 to go...

I think it has been available online since FOX launched the clip earlier this week. It's available via the OP.

Another thing, for talking about Starla and Sally so often, I was expecting them to make a cameo.

well

Postby sersdf » February 13th, 2005, 9:16 pm

personally, i thought it mighta been my least favorite episode yet. martin short was pretty bad, i was cringing throughout the scene at lucille bluth's place. way too much slapstick, i hope people weren't watching because this was not at all representative of the show....

aside from that segment, the rest of the show was alright, but somewhat substandard. incidentally, does anybody know where a clip or transcrip of david cross from jimmy kimmel is?

Yeah, Martin Short was not the best. That thing with him vomiting, what the hell was that?? I loved the episode pretty much until he made his appearance. Lucille spilling her drink in the beginning and having George Michael and Tobias slipping on it was hilarious, also "She's not your neighbor when you're here Mother." That was awesome. I don't know that I'd say it was the worst episode of the season but meh....I kinda wish they'd have had a funnier one on tonight if it's in such danger of not being re-newed.

Personally, I thought it was a great episode. I loved Uncle Jack's feats of strength and when his knees buckled under the weight, I was dying. I also thought that Buster's military skills were off the hook!

I LOVED this episode!! I was worried about having Martin Short on, but he wasnt as bad as I thought he would be, he kinda remended me of a gym teacher I used to have. I liked Tobias at the end listening to himself "Tobias, you blowhard!" And Gob said best:

Lindsay: Michael is just scarred to ask out Sally, cha chi cha chi cha

Gob: Ahh, this is priceless. Coka coo coka coo

Now I have a new dance to use while I torment my roommate while we play raquette ball

Friggin' Australia

I'm in Australia right now and have been for half of the second season. So I've missed it. I get back in mid-April, so I'll probably only get to see 2 or 3 more episodes, but that clip...wow...that made me laugh so hard. I love G.O.B. so much. Will is a brilliant man.

Did anyone else noticed this was the first time Maeby didn't call Michael "Uncle Michael"?

She just called him 'Michael'.

I actually thought this was the funniest episode of the season (although I only caught the first five minutes of 'Good Grief). Martin short was perfect, in my opinion, especially when Dragon shook him up. Classic! Contrary to a post-er above, I thought that Uncle Jack's scene in Lucille's apartment was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Of course, the dual chicken dance was still funnier. Also, did anybody else think that Maeby daring George Michael to go kiss Uncle Jack was hysterical? I sure did.
Tobias had attempted an entrance that he hoped would enchant his daughter.

Hard to complain

Postby Roger Danish » February 13th, 2005, 10:01 pm

It was no Afternoon Delight, but still a good solid episode. I love the episodes when Michael is thrown into all sorts of awkward situations like he and Tobias on the horse. I really think they could have done without Martin Short though. Where was Oscar???
