Why, Tracy? Why?

I just noticed while watching this episode again that after John Beard reports the Iraq story he mentions something about a seal attack in the harbor!

Yeah, I was rewatching that episode and I noticed it too. I wonder if that was an early and abandoned set-up for Buster's biting that turned out to not be needed after the writers developed a more robust storyline for the seal...?

That was just step 1 in the foreshadowing of the episodes 11/12 seal attack. Mentioning this first attack here - in the AD timeline, gives plenty of time for GOB to take the seal, use it in his act, and then release it. Some other poor sap must have been attacked.

...sources say....

While watching this in the marathon tonight, I realized that I have never seen the "...On the next Arrested Development" scene. I never caught the first 3 episodes of the season (since I didn't know about the show) and apparently the torrent I have doesn't include the end. So seeing this minute or so of content that was new to me felt pretty cool, and I thought I'd share it. (and bump the longest-not-talked-about episode in the process)

I never saw the "On the next.." scenes from this episode either. I've only seen the downloaded torrent version, as well.

And I love how Narrator says "Actually, George Sr. took wig.."
Yeah, like anyone would want to "R" her.

ah yes, the "On the next" gag... it even includes another reference to the pilot with Barry saying "I'm having the time of my life" in prison

I remember watching that the first time, and remembering Season 1. It's still funny, but now it's funny because of what Barry calls the guy "Doctor Hate". And the guard also says "no touching."

I forgot how great an episode this was. I can't wait to watch it again on the DVD.
That was a great joke with Barry.

G.O.B.: We’ve got the proof, Michael. Dad’s signed contract with Saddam.

Buster: Hussein.

Tony Hale landed that line perfectly. Hilarious.

I also love how the same cop smashes George Sr. and Oscar.

a good little foreshadowing: when lucille turns on the news while buster is brushing oscar's hair, the anchor says, "...and a seal attack. meet one surprised bather coming up."

It's too bad for Maebe, it seems every guy she kisses may or may not be her cousin. First George Michael, and now STEVE HOLT!

2 things!
1: So season two STARTED in Australia - FINALLY!!!
it was last night...there was no advertising or anything...it just so happens that I am a night person and like to wait until the rest of my fam are in bed before I watch the telli (that way I am in control and don't have to cater to others wants!)'
So I was watching "French and Saunders" which started at 10:30 and at about 11:05 it went to an ad break so I started flicking around and LOW AND BEHOLD, there is Michael Bluthe and the rest of the family AND I don't recognise the episode...could this be? I think to myself...and yes it is! A totally new episode!!! I was so excited, but at the same time very annoyed because I had missed the first 5 minutes...its the type of show where you have to watch the whole thing to get it completely! But I watched it and LOVED LOVED LOVED it! not disapointed at all!!! Now i can look forward to 11:00 on Mondays!!!
2nd thing: the previous post to this was on my birthday...just thought I would point that out to the "i don't care patrol"!

They both are...Daen French is fantastic at playing the punchy deliveries and far-out characters. Jen Saunders has such a great wit and is so committed to all her characters...its a great show...I had seen that episode before so I didn't mind that Arrested Development was on at the same time!
great episode of AD though...I love how Lucille moves into michaels eye-line to wink at him again!
