#308: Making a Stand

The final countdown?

Postby Tv junkie » December 21st, 2005, 7:36 am

I watched Prison Break in and Making a stand in proper order and few hours ago. The only continuety bits are the house arrest and tobias bit. I was trying to look for more and I also found that in the photo montage they use the jetpack which in prison break in it flys away and is used by a prisoner to escape.
Gob: Bzz lets see who brings in more honey
Micheal: He was thinking about bees again

Get him he's got bees
Lucille: They don't allow you to have bees in here.

I think the episodes aired in the proper order (mention of Rita/Tobias' hair in PBI), anything that said otherwise I think was just a typo.

I'm actually going to agree with i need to post on this subject. Even though I have never attempted "spiking" the ratings I too might have to become a Balancing Hero. The mere fact that episodes such as "Making a Stand", "Forget-Me Now", and "Mr. F" are above classics like "Key Decisions", "Beef Consomme", (I took four years of Spanish!), and "Not Without My Daughter" (..or dead or whatever) is ABSURD. All right, maybe it is not absurd. But I don't think the majority here or of AD fans would agree that these recent episodes are superior to established classics. (I also agree that "Meet the Veals" and "Motherboy" are a tad bit over rated, only in the sense that I don't see them as better than "Top Banana" or "Bringing Up Buster", still great episodes though). I'm not saying these episodes are awful, I thought "Stand", "F", and "Forget" were all goodies, but until dvd rewatching it is unfair to make an established decision, and that is why the ratings are the way they are because of the "Teh best one ever" type people, good call there guy.

Back to this episode, I think it is "Eve Holt" he is connecting with, and that is why he finally accepts Steve, but who knows, maybe it is Ann, and maybe he will convert her to non-religious ways and she will come back and show George Micheal how secularly experienced she is.

Or maybe this Christian mystery woman will convert Gob and we'll get to hear more of Gob's 'Ten Commandments', like the 'Thou shalt protect thy father' line...
Here he comes... here comes John Wayne...

wouldn't it be minorly illegal if Gob, umm, 'converted' Ann?
not that Gob would care about that or anything, just wondering.
Lucille: Because Buster’s your brother and I’m not going to leave him home alone with all this j-u-i-c-e around.

Buster: I can spell, Mom. You spelled “juice.”

Lucille: Oh, you’re so brilliant. Let’s see you find it.

Yes, and that seems like it might start treading on ground that's not really funny. Then again, they had Lindsay pursuing Steve Holt! But he's apparently older than your average high school student.

I think what probably makes the most sense is someone we have yet to encounter, although Eve Holt would be a great one.

304 Notapussy

GOB: 3rd place, although a little plain, has super low self esteem. So I step in and lay my crown upon her sweet head.

Ann then comes in 3rd place

Narrator: It seemed GOB was right about what happened to 3rd place contestants

Ann: I met a man!

-----------------------------------------------

There is also little things like Tobias asking Ann 'Do you want a man or a boy' and Ann telling GM she had 'outgrown' him.I'm sure there is probably more little clues,I just haven't the time to look for them.

Sick it may be, but it seems pretty obvious it's Ann. Also, isnt Ann 17 which would make it legal, if a tad inappropriate.

Eve Holt, you're a genius. I like that theory more than the Ann theory. As funny as the Ann thing is, it's almost too gross, not from Gob's POV, he is that gross, but from Ann's.

Depends on the state, and in California age of consent is 18. GOB would be going to jail (unless Ann magically turns 18)

If I may:George Sr is back under house arrest because Oscar escaped via Jetpack.
And about the Tobias thing:
306:Hair on fire but no disease so he recovers them.
307:Disease
308:Bye bye hair(Deleted Scene?Possibly.)
Sorry if Im wrong or if it has been mentioned.
I talk all confusing like.

Wasn't George Michael 13 in the pilot?

I'd assume he and Ann were the same age, so she couldn't be older than 16, could she!?!

Even if Ann is only 16 I don't think this storyline is beyond the shows boundaries. They have been toying with the issue of incest since day 1.

I'm not saying GOB is actually gonna
bleep
Ann(His words, not mine). I'm just saying the writers are playing with the idea of it. Even it it turns out to be someone else,I think the writers wanted us to make the Ann connection first. If not, why did they write 304 the way they did?
