#308: Making a Stand

The final countdown?

Postby Chelpo » December 31st, 2005, 3:45 am

Not to mention we don't actually know how old Ann is. We know she's in high school, and that she's in George Michael's class, but that doesn't mean she isn't 18 -- GM could be young for his grade or Ann could be old, or both. And this wouldn't be the first time GOB dated someone in high school. And even if Ann isn't quite 18, is 17 really less moral? Less legal, maybe, but less moral? And since when has GOB cared about moral? Or legal? I'm not saying it isn't creepy ('cause it is) but I agree that any of the Bluths dating Lucille 2 is just as creepy. It certainly hasn't crossed the line, in my opinion. Especially since GOB made it clear that they haven't done anything illegal yet.

Eve Holt is also an interesting theory, though.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Funnily enough though, the idea of Gob dating Ann isn't creeping me out half as much as the idea of Gob dating Lucille 2 was, though.
Should we put the PosturePedic in the down position?

it could totally be Anne's mom. She completely threw herself on top of michael. but then who knows, maybe Pastor Veal finally locked that one down.

If that's as sarcastic as I think it is, WhoamI, that was uncalled for. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything!

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but there was another amazingly subtle line in the beginning of the episode along the lines of "The incident was covered by the paper."

After GOB shot off the penny cannon, the narrator says something like "Michael was overwhelmed by the change."

Genius! This is definently the best of Season 3.

I caught the "overwhelmed by the change" the first time around and was on the floor. Hilarious.

I really enjoyed this episode, one of the best yet of season 3.

In regards to the identity of GOB's Christian girlfriend, I'm in the camp who think that she is Ann. The setups in Notapusy and Shock & Awe make me think this and also the fact that in 307 GOB gets distracted by two "young" girls when moving his magic stuff out of Buster's room, giving George Snr the perfect opportunity to escape. So he obviously is still into the younger demographic. Anyway, its probably just a throwaway joke, I dont think it is the return of Ann just yet.

Also, I'm pretty sure that the voice over guy for the Gangy movie is Will Arnett, does anyone else agree? If it is, thats hilarious. From whence he came.

I thought the same thing, and I'm usually very good at identifying voices.

It's definitely Will Arnett doing the voice over Gangee. For those who didn't know, Will got his start doing narrations for stuff like car commercials and movies. They also poke fun at this fact with the "...with Club Sauce" bit, since he used to use his voice to sell products like food in the same way.
I have no follow up.
