OK, we still don't have subforums or anything yet, but everyone seems to agree that relaxing rules would be a good idea. So from now on, anything you have that would work as its own topic goes as its own topic. This mainly just applies in the TV section, I'd imagine, but the only things that shouldn't be their own topics would be a topic like:

"I love Conan, he is so awesome! Does anyone else like Conan?"

That said, a topic like (one that was previously taken out) "I think Conan O'Brien is really hot" would work.

So yeah, if you have something original to say, say it. New eps of TV shows can have their own topic, new (interesting) aspects of the same movie, artist, game, album etc get their own stuff, too. So let's just go for it and we'll play this by ear.

Oh, and as always, topics like "Britney Spears [spoiler]Taped[/spoiler] Movie!", "Online Casino List, Black Jack Online Tournaments, great bon", "What do you know about Bob Marley, reggae, cannabis, marihua", or my personal favorite, "Sexy pussy cat need a strong man for love!", are not covered under the new rules.

And how come "Conan is hot" is acceptable, but "Conan is Awesome" is not? I don't get it.

Well, I primarily just want to avoid situations where someone might post something really generic that can't really be discussed. Someone who doesn't think Conan is awesome might think he was hot, someone who thinks he is awesome might NOT think he was hot.

So mostly just generalities. If you wanted to mention something particularly awesome on Conan or an aspect of his awesomeness, that would be a new topic.

And Britney used to be photogenic, but she's gotten way too camera-friendly while simultaneously letting herself go in many ways, several of which have nothing to do with her appearance. But that was not what that particular topic was originally about.

Sorry, off topic, but this reminds me of a funny story, and I thought that I'd share.

Some years ago during a provincial election, the local members of the Marijuana Party decided that instead of putting up campaign signs like everyone else, they would burn the word "marijuana" into the grass on a prominent hillside. Now, not only did defacing the hillside not win them any votes, but the best part was that they spelled it wrong. For months after the rest of the signs had been taken down, we had the word "mariujana" written across one of our hills.

I'll bet they giggled uncontrollably about it for hours, until they forgot exactly why it was they were laughing. Which they found to be very funny and started giggling again.

I don't know about the giggling -- if there was one place they actually had a chance of winning a seat in, it was probably my hometown and the misspelling of their own name didn't exactly inspire confidence in them.

Everyone else giggled a whole lot though, and then forgot why, and then started again (there's a reason why my town might have voted them in).
