The Happy Thread

Postby titus » December 16th, 2006, 9:33 pm

Christmas is coming, so why not ignore the "Things that annoy you." thread and come on over here.

I love how the population of Iceland is small (and also hate it). For example, I work in a groceries/meat store and I'm in the meat department. I have served dozens of "celebrities", like news anchors, actresses, actors, and musicians. Truth to be told, not many of them are "interesting" or anything. But it's kinda crazy of one of you're favorite musician comes when the store is about close in one minute (his myspace: his myspace) and he asks were the honey is (my former class mate was actually his cousin, everyone ine Iceland is connected, somehow) or that one of your favorite stand up comedian and actor order's "chicken piece's (like Kentucky Fried Chicken) and you ask him how many he wants and he just says: I don't know, a box of them? - and you try not to laugh, though it isn't funny, it's just funny and he's not trying to be funny, but it's still fricking funny.

Of course, Christmas is coming and three series of Arrested Development are waiting for me (haven't watched and AD episode since the finale in February) and I'm thinking about getting the British Office before Christmas.

So, anything you're happy about?

I'll second the happy 'cause it's Christmas vote. I know what you mean about the weather -- I'm the same way, but I need it to be cold and snowy. I get grumpy if there isn't snow on the ground at Christmas.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I'm happy it's xmas too. Merry Christmas to everyone at the_op.

I'm happy I'll be getting a weeks holiday over New Year, and heading to a holiday home on the Donegal coast for a few days with some friends.

I'm happy I got my Everton season ticket yesterday, who I might add should have beaten Chelsea today, but I wont get into that. THis is a happy thread.

I'm happy because it's my birthday on Friday.

I'm happy because it's Christmas and I can see my breath when I'm outside.

I even loved it when I told this woman that we'd sold out of the Cliff Richard single and she out and out accused us all of being part of a conspiracy to keep his laminated face from being Christmas no. 1. She was deadly serious. Crazy people make my day.

I'm happy because I'm going to a "Mighty Strictly Come Dancing Boosh Party"... and I have no idea what to wear. Because there's so much choice! Holy crap, it's the best idea for a fancy dress party ever.

I dont know what that it, and I dont care to respond to it.

I'm happy because I found season one of the West Wing for $32 reduced from $115 for my mum for christmas, and then on the same day I bought my friend possibly ther greatest t-shirt ever it's from the early 90's and is some sort of event t-shirt for cheerleading and among other things, it says "Born to be a CHEER" awesome.

= Best party ever.

I don't care, because I am happy. Why? I'm eating ice cream with my bare hands whilst watching another awesomely-bad-but-this-week-it's-actually-good episode of Torchwood. No lack of spoons ever stopped us.

I love that there's a door in that guy's hair. Your party's going to be off the hook!

Well, I'm happy that I'm the first American on this thread to profess his happiness.

I'm usually pretty happy. The only time I'm not happy is when I'm unhappy that I'm not happy. But then I remember that I just have to stop being unhappy, and I'm happy again.

I'm also happy that the Eagles beat the Giants yesterday. If they beat the Cowboys, well, I'll be beyond happy.

I'm happy that my landlord is so nice, and told me I could wait till the end of the month (instead of on the 15th) to pay rent because of the holidays and shopping, and such. that is quite excellent because I was able to finish all of my shopping this weekend as opposed to doing it this week and next weekend.

I'm happy that I got a new comfy queen sized pillowtop bed.

I'm sad that I didnt find AD until it was cancelled, but happy that I found it at some point in time.
