I feel the exact same way. It doesn't matter who they are or where they're from, tourists are the worst people in the world. Travellers are great, but tourists can
bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
!

**Note to tourists: Please don't knit yourselves sweaters of the flag of your country. It's tacky and ugly. My friends were making fun of a woman with a flag sweater last summer while in line at a restaurant and it turned out her husband was standing right behind them. This all around embarassment could have been avoided.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

If I make my 1000th post here, can we consider the thread a success?

Um....no. If I make it, on the other hand, then this thread shall be worthy.

I'm kinda between cities at the moment. Derry is my actual home, and is a great small city, full of history and character. Belfast feels like my home because I lived and studied there for four years.
I've been living in Manchester now for about four months and I love the place. It's a student's dream. I'll be heading down to London at the end of the year for work, which I'm really looking forward to. That's if I can bring myself to leave Manchester by then.

Since it was a gift I suppose I can forgive you, but would Hefner 2.0 be okay with you knitting ugly ugly Valentine's sweaters for strange women on the internet? I guess it's better than a "Slut" shirt (which, by the way, would be the greatest thing ever, if it was homemade knit sweater).

And my 1000th post will be the one to make this a success.

Well... actually, it is good fun trying to explain that I can't give you directions to Oxford University, because it's all around you as we speak. The city is the University. To which they reply, "Yeah, but which way do I go?". You are standing in it right now. This can go on for ever.

*Checks Google Maps* Oh, bleep, I'm only 50 miles from Coventry. Damn you Midlands! Oh, yeah, I'd like to expand Stay Away From Coventry to a general Stay Away From The Midlands.

I suppose it acts as a buffer-zone between Birmingham and the rest of the country. Surely that can only be a good thing.

Seriously? The U.S. and Britain rank below, say, Bangladesh or Haiti, for kids to live? What the heck was the criteria? "Kids aren't given the privilege of experiencing a culture where common ailments can be fatal." Without having read this story in the papers, mind you, it sounds like it was put together with people who long ago lost their appreciation for the good fortune they have, and have no clue how difficult life can be for most of the world's population.

Little Britain wouldn't be funny. Wee Britain, however, is hilarious. Remember, it sets up the "Wee Brain" joke. I like it.

Little Britain makes me want to gouge out my eyeballs with a spoon. Alas, I tend not to watch it.
