It played somewhere else in the episode too - I always assumed it was a Davd Schwartz Original. Good work, Kid Viravax!

99% sure it's a David Schwartz original made for the show. Sadly, they never put any of the other songs on the DVD like they did for Season 1. Many good songs lost to time and/or David Schwartz.

Well, if you don't mind having it as-is from the episode with the dialogue over it, then yes.

Help?

Postby M_Bluth » September 3rd, 2007, 1:24 am

Can anyone tell me the name of the songs and band that are played during the bananastand competition scene on the episode: Making A Stand?
Michael: You havn't auditioned yet?
Tobias: Oh, no, no. I'm not in the group yet. I'm afraid I just blue myself.
Michael: There's got to be a better way to say that.

I believe most (if not all) of those songs are original numbers composed by David Schwartz, the guy who does the background music for AD. I posted all his AD songs I could get my hands on here, but as for any others, I really wouldn't know.

Shameless plug over. :P

Buster and Tobias (Analrapist Joke)

Postby JoeH33 » November 3rd, 2007, 8:58 am

There's a joke that I just can't figure out, and I was hoping someone here could enlighten me.

I believe the episode is "Forget Me Not," and Tobias gives Buster his "Analrapist" card. Buster yelps when he sees the card, and Tobias explains how "alalrapist" is really pronounced. Then Buster goes "It's not the pronounciation that bothered me."

I can't seem to figure out what Buster's saying bothered him if it wasn't the pronounciation. Any ideas? Am I just being an idoit and missing something obvious?

It's the same reason Lindsay says "you were almost arrested for those business cards"

I get the anal rapist thing, Buster said it wasn't that though. Tobias was like "its pronounced a-nalrapist" and Buster said that it wasn't the pronounciation that bothered him.

I think the joke is that he still thinks it means "anal rapist", and that Tobias just pronounces it differently. Kind of a rimshot joke.

I still want to know if Michael and Tobias had full on sex in the last ep. I tend to think they did because of the possible post- coital voiceover "Michael was making compromises all over the place">

I am almost positive they didn't have sex at all, full on or otherwise.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I think the "compromise" Michael was making was just the act of letting Tobias cuddle with him in bed. I highly doubt that Michael would have sex with his own brother-in-law, for any reason - even though Tobias probably only wanted to have a "jaw session" with him.
