I missed the draft.
I blame FI#2.

I made it, but my computer kept freezing up whenever I tried to make a smart alec-y comment on the message board, and I had to quit and restart. As a result, I ended up with a crappy defense and drafted a kicker way before I wanted to.

I blame tehMick.

Overall, though, I like my team. Wish I could pull one together like that in my 12-team draft next Thursday.

I took a peek at your team and it's very impressive.
The benefits of playing in a six-team league.

Huzzah for the Yahoo Rankings. If I didn't have them for reference I probably would have drafted John Elway. I did stray for Jacoby Jones though. Sleeper! Houston Texans, Super Bowl champs!
Last we heard of him, he was ridin' some kind of a deal and got hit in the head with a goose.

Snakes, alligators, quicksand... all bent on one thing: destruction.

Oh, now I wish we were playing for money.

I will most likely be wearing my Elway jersey to next Thursday's draft. I think this is my 10th year in that league. (Actually, this year I'm calling that team the Mile High Club.)

Oh, and you're pick of the Bears defense tonight totally messed me up. I was about to pick them, then wrote a snide comment for the message board when you picked them... which for some reason froze up my computer and caused me to miss the next few rounds until I could get back on. By that time, I had the stinkin' Dolphins defense and a bloomin' kicker.

Nice work, sj. I tip my hat.

I have just woken up with a nasty cut under my eye, and cuts all over my hands and legs.. I would love to explain what happened to make me miss the draft, but I have absolutely no idea.

Quite happy I got Shockey, Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison. Also liking the Ravens defence.

Drew Brees and Tony Romo I know very little about. Are these guys decent QBs?

Tony Romo is but Drew Brees is pretty awful.
I'd be happy to take him off your hands.
Just tell me what player on my roster you want and I'll trade you for him.

sorry gobias (as in go buy us a cup of coffee) its to late :?
I'm gonna do better than my 9-5 winnning season last year and get first place again! you big losers! haha you guys stink like the Browns QBs!

(all this trash talk is to get people interrested in the season so ppl don't quit 1/3 through the season like last year) especially since there is only 6 ppl this year.

A way to keep people interrested is maybe we should all make it a point to get on late sun/monday to disscuse football to keep interrest in the fantasy.... make it a tradition.....hoooray
I got the information.

I'm hoping Brees gets me off to a good start tomorrow night, because it's likely to be the only chance I have of topping the league, albeit briefly.

So, anyone want to give a quick rundown of the fantasy rules for our foreign friends? (ie. me).

Fantasy football (soccer) over here is just a running total of your players points (3 points for a goal, 1 for an assist, 1 for playing the full 90 minutes, 3 for a clean sheet etc.) accumulated over the season. Touchlamp, you mention you had a 9-5 record last year, but how can you win and lose games? Do you mean the Chargers, or your fantasy team? How do we win and lose games?

Anyway, if I don't get back on before tomorrow night, all the best guys. I think I have a nice little side going into the season, but I'm always open to a cheeky trade proposal (there isn't a trade deadline, is there?).

Finally, I say Patriots for the Superbowl. Randy Moss MVP.

Ah, cool. That's what I was hoping. I take it the points allowed scores are for the team defense we got.

Yes. The fewer points your defense allows, the more points you get. If they're hideous, you get docked. So you have to be careful that your defense doesn't actually cost you points. Fortunately, you're not playing the Michigan defense this week vs. Appalachian State. (Or ever, since we don't use college teams.)

I got Santana Moss in as a free agent for Marion Barber. I also proposed a trade with Glisten, so if you're reading, go accept it.. it's a wonderful proposal.

I'm hoping Randy Moss will do the business for me tonight. Frank Gore's my other big hope.

Edit: Randy Moss, you've done it again..

Edit 2: I just realised my Marion Barber for Santana Moss move could be the stupidest trade in fantasy sports history.. I feel like a
bleep
in' idiot.

Edit 3: I had Romo on the bench too... good move!
