The Sad Thread

Postby gobias30 » January 15th, 2008, 3:58 pm

Since we have a happy thread I figure why not have a place to say what has got you down. For example I'm sad because I have a miserable cold. I'm not hungry at all and I'm so weak that I can barely move from the couch. Think of this thread as a psychiatrist that doesn't cost you anything.
Hey, Mikey, relax. It’s just a giant banana.

I'm sad because none of my friends live anywhere near me, nor will they be living anywhere near me anytime in the foreseeable future. :(

I always used the annoyed thread for sad things. Fortunately, I'm not sad too often.

Well, I'm sad that my son is teething and can't sleep through the night anymore, despite our best efforts. This has got to end soon because I need my sleepadsfksdddazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Or an analrapist.

I'm sort of half sad/half glad right now because my new semester of college has started back, which means goodbye to vacation and sleeping in late in the mornings and hello to term papers and frantic study nights. :( I'm one of the world's biggest procrastinators, so any kind of project or deadline is anathema to me. So yeah, I'm really not looking forward to that stuff again.

I'm sad because I have no money. $0.44 in my wallet, $6 into my overdraft, and just enough to pay February rent + $20/week for food when my last pay cheque goes through (which should be Friday). I don't work again until the beginning of February.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words- "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I haven't seen a movie in the theater in over a year; but next week I'm finally getting out, taking my daughter to see "Alvin & the Chipmunks."

I guess that is better suited for "The Pathetic Thread" than "The Sad Thread."

Grandfather of FI#2 passed away last night, so things are quite sad in our family today. Wasn't unexpected, but nevertheless.

:( My sympathies to your family, FI #2.

Sorry for your loss, FI#2.
I pray the good lord welcomes him with a silver platter full of Salmon Rolls.
