Oscar talk (and not about uncle-father)

Talk about that new Hemingway adaptation or anything else in the theatre.

Ouch. Now I know what it feels like to be punched in the face.

All I know is, if another penguin cartoon wins Best Animated Feature, there's going to be hell toupee.

I'm really sad that Control got snubbed.

I thought Juno deserved Oscar nods for screenplay, Ellen Page, and Michael Cera, but not best movie. (Although come to think of it, I can't think of too many replacements. Maybe Ratatouille, Sweeney Todd, or Before the Devil Knows You're Dead.)

Snubbed: James McEvoy got robbed. Although I'm delighted Keira Knightley didn't get nominated; and the fact that Julia Roberts didn't get nominated for Charlie Wilson's War means I don't have to stop paying any attention whatsoever to the Oscars.
That’s what they said on “Ask Jeeves.”

neither was your mom

Anyway, i was also sad that James McAvoy wasnt nominated, I LOVED Atonement, but its most deserved nomination has to go to Saoirse Ronan, she was beyond amazing, and though shes good, acted circles around Kiera Knightly.

I only wish Sweeney Todd got more nominations, but at least Johnny Depp made it in. Also glad to see love for No Country For Old Men, that was expected, but I just watched it last night and its so damn good, Javier Bardem is terrifying!
It is believed that AIDS was originally contracted from the monkeys, no not the band, but the animal. And we just wanted to deal with that issue. Just changing the attitude from 'eww AIDSy' to make it like 'ahh fun monkey disease'

*Sigh* That's exactly like going to see a movie called There Will Be
Monsters
or There Will Be
Naked Chicks
, only to have no
monsters
or
naked chicks
.

Congratulations to the makers of the greatest movie of all time, "Raising Arizona," for winning more Oscars last night.

This marks the first time since 1992 that I did not run an Oscar pool. Would've been the 15th annual.

While I wish TWBB would've won, I'm not mad about NCFOM winning by any means.

I thought NCFOM was Best Picture material until the end of the movie. I thought the ending, and the whole last part of the movie, was just boring. At the beginning, though, the movie was really good.
Why do there have to be puppets like Frank?

I didn't even realize "This Week in Baseball" was nominated. *pause* Oh wait, that's TWIB.

I don't know. I guess I just wasn't "wow-ed" by No Country for Old Men.

They should've just given it to The Departed again.

Nah. I would've wanted "There Is a High Probability of There Possibly Being Some Blood". I thought that everything about that movie was perfect.

Is anyone else here surprised that George clooney didn't win? I didn't really like Micheal Clayton but I thought that George clooney should have won best actor.
