There are shows other than Arrested Development? Really?

Postby Musty Old Claptrap » December 8th, 2007, 7:24 am

Oh no, I didn't realise we'd run out of episodes. This is the first of my shows to run out so far :(

30 Rock: Ten episodes will be produced. Eight episodes have aired, so there are two left.

I've still tried to watch this show a billion times, but I just can't get into it. Tina Fey annoys the crap out of me, and I've always hated Alec Baldwin(with the exception of Glengarry Glen Ross, one of the best movies of the past 20 years). I just find the characters annoying and unlikeable, the Tracey Morgan character especially, *beeping* racial stereotype.

Well, Tracy is hardly a racial stereotype. It's just an extension of the act he's been doing for years. It's crazy, not racial. Just look at the episode where Kenneth is in his entourage and it starts out by him harmonizing on the song Tomorrow with Kenneth. Followed by Dotcom saying, "This is a really special day."

That's crazy that transcends race.

I personally enjoy Alec Baldwin, but I think that's partially because when I hear his voice I'm reminded of The Royal Tenenbaums. I haven't actually seen him in a whole lot of things. I did like his delivery of the line "Never follow a hippie to a second location." It was so matter-of-fact and unforced.

I've only seen a few episodes of this show, and I find it funny, but at the same time I don't necessarily find it hilarious and there are definitely times when it seems like they're going the easy route with some of their jokes/plots. Nevertheless, I'd like to watch more of it.

I started watching this a couple of months ago but only just got caught up on all the episodes. I love this show, it's easily the best live-action comedy on TV right now. Granted, sometimes it doesn't work and there are quite a few things that go over the top of your head if you're not from the US (hell, the only place you can find SNL here is on cable). Alec Baldwin is surprisingly funny in it, and just about every scene with Tracy Jordan is a guaranteed laugh. I want a number plate that says ICU81MI. :D

This is absolutely my favourite show on television right now.

Also, I think I might be in love with Liz Lemon.

Dr. Spaceman!

I'm almost finished with the Paul Reubens episode. Man, Will Forte is so awesome.

Me too. This is a very confusing time.

I just started Season 2 and the whole Seinfeld Vision thing had me laughing pretty hard.

I'm on Episode 6 now and I'm loving it.
I finished Season 1 in 2 days and I'll probably finish this season within the next couple hours. I can't wait till the season finally continues. Will Arnett is gonna guest star again at the end of the season I've heard.
