Twilight. It is a disgrace that people call it literature. Zach Braff says:

I find the hype around this series, without ever reading a book, to be complete bullbleep.

These books should cease to exist. Every time one of you bleep picks up one of these books, a little piece of what's left of Ernest Hemingway's soul dies. Eventually, each and every one of you will kill the spirit of the man.

The even more horrifying thing is that bleepers keep buying it up so that writers have to bleeping write bullbleep vampire books to get on the bleeping bandwagon for a payday instead of doing something intelligent with their writing.

This series is the death of literature and good writing.

I have a theory that Stephanie Meyer didn't write this as a book, but as a form of eugenics. Preteens and teenagers (male too, I've seen it) get completely messed-up perceptions of what constitutes a normal relationship when they read these books. Then they never have a normal relationship, and they never have children, thus removing people who would read these books in the first place from the gene pool. It's more humane than forced sterilization, but only barely, which you would know if you've ever read a page or two from one of these books. Also, Edward sparkles.

Wow, Zach Braff is pretty angry... Is Twilight really that much worse than all the other bleep literature that's been coming out for ages?

To be fair, he probably should at least read it before he labels it the death of literature and the like. Not defending the books or anything (I've never read them), but it doesn't do much for the credibility to bash without reading them.

I have to say I'm a bit annoyed with people thinking that everyone getting some sort of health coverage is the worst thing in the world.

The books really are that terrible. My girlfriend, who also hates them, got the first as a gift from a friend. I read the first 10 pages, and my brain started feeling mushy. And they teach young girls to have impossibly high standards and to devote themselves completely to their knight in shining armor (who only likes them because they want to drink their blood). It teaches obsessive relationships, and explains away any and all plot holes by saying that it's "just a myth" (turning into bats, not being able to go into the sunlight, etc.). The only thing vampire-like is that they drink blood. Bram Stoker is rolling in his grave.

Also, one thing that doesn't make any sense at all. Edward, and most of the vampires for that matter, are incredibly good-looking, and have super-strength and super-speed. But for some reason, they choose not to become baseball players or to have sex with models. Even though they're hundreds of years old, they prefer to go to a high school in a small town in Washington. All they do in the lunch room is sit at their table and not talk to anyone, because obviously that's the way to be cool.

Well, I recieved my copy of Hellboy 2 from my Grandmother and unfortunately for me it was missing the disc. It's strange because the case was still completely sealed. Oh well. I just hope that she kept the receipt.

I'm annoyed because I was given page after page of homework on my break. I just can't bring myself to do it. All I want to do is watch TV and eat salmon rolls.

On an even more annoyed note I think that there is a bat in my roof.

I went to my first sitcom writing class at the University last week. Not one person (out of about 20) mentioned AD as one of their favourite shows.
