So, you don't get free shift meals or a discount on select menu items?

No, but I do get to keep any meat left on the bones. I take it home, throw it in a pot, add some broth, a potato. Baby, I’ve got a stew going.

News flash! Frightened Inmate #2 has a new computer. Frightened Inmate #2 has a new computer.

Unfortunately, he can't hook it up until Thursday, when the cable guy stops buy to give him a cable modem. Which brings up another news flash: Frightened Inmate #2 will no longer be on dial-up!

Yes. And after Thursday my daughter will be able to access the Webkins site much faster. By my daughter, I actually mean me, since I end up being the one stuck at the computer trying to login while she goes off to read a book or torment her little brother.

The period of time that my historians will one day refer to as "The Golden Age" begins on Thursday.

It's a wonderful computer!

You can't tell, but this loaded much faster than it did a week ago.

It still wasn't fast enough to get me the Celebrity Death Game point for Charlton Heston. Aw, and I really wanted that.

Hey, I thought my friends here at The OP might be interested in checking out the blog I've started. The few of you that are still checking in, that is.

So far, I believe that only Kid Varavax is visiting from here.

All it is, really, is my journal from exactly 20 years ago, when I was a young college student studying in England. Some entries are dull, others are (I think) interesting.

Anyway, just wanted to put that out there, in case you are interested.

Well, it's no imoscar.com

or, for that matter, imnoscar.com

I'd did find it particularly amusing that 20 years and two days ago, I ate at a "Poppins" restaurant in Canterbury...
