Tobias: Well, yes, but I’m afraid I prematurely shot my wad on what was supposed to be a dry run, if you will, so now I’m afraid I have something of a mess on my hands.

Michael: There are just so many poorly chosen words in that sentence.

Hear me out. First of all, she looks nothing like her and does in fact look too young to be her mom.

Second, when resoponding to the direct question from MB "You're Ann's Mom? she responds "I'm Mrs. Veal".

Third, she offer's the joke "Next you're going to say I'm her sister" - a hint I think.

Fourth, everybody else who meets her (Lucille, for instance) things that she's the sister, and not the mom of Ann (MoA).

Fifth, Mrs. Veal doesn't even know what "Making Love" is - an indication that she may be a virgin.

My thought? Mr. Veal is a polygamist who has a different wife that is Ann's mom, and may have many more wives.

Thoughts?

Thats a very interesting theory, that I dont think it entirely false. She simply thinks that rubbing together and kissing are making love. Though they did say they got serious around Ann and GMs age, which would explain why she looks so young. Maybe she really is Anns mom, but her husband had her artifically inseminated, IDk thats the best guess I could come up with.

its like Lisa Marie and Michael, did Pastor and Mrs.Veal consomate their marrage? I mean, those are the kind of questions I don’t want to answer.
It is believed that AIDS was originally contracted from the monkeys, no not the band, but the animal. And we just wanted to deal with that issue. Just changing the attitude from 'eww AIDSy' to make it like 'ahh fun monkey disease'

it may have been cut from "Whistler's Mother", as she is dancing in the boardroom, but I hope not. I really want to see her do the dance again!
Yeah, like anyone would want to "R" her.

Great episode! I didn't quite understand Michael's "Lock that down" remark.

He was just referencing how pretty she was, saying that unlike Ann, Mrs. Veal is so pretty you "gotta lock that down". Not much deeper than that; all I know is I'm still laughing off of that.

Does anyone else think that Tobias' "driving on the wrong side of the road" may be a metaphor for homosexuality?

Not really, they make the gay jokes much more blatant. That was just showing how stupidly driven Tobias was to prove he's a British maid from "Blackstool".

Whitey's wife isn't underrated from my viewpoint. She is consistently my favorite character in all the episodes, excepting maybe two or three.
Tobias had attempted an entrance that he hoped would enchant his daughter.

Her?
G.O.B.: Michael, if I make this comeback, I’ll buy you a hundred George Michaels that you can teach to drive.

Michael: You’re losing blood, aren’t you?

G.O.B.: Probably. My socks are wet.
