Scheduling and Future Air Dates Info

Hmm, mondays...not exactly "prime rib" on the schedule board, but it's better than cancelled. At least it's not as bad as when HBO moved "Mr. Show with Bob and David" to mondays at midnight, essentially killing the show. In a way, AD needed to get away from the animation domination thing on sundays. In retrospect, I am surprised at how AD survived coming on after the Simpsons as the audiences are most certainly not the same.

I posted some thoughts in the Variety article thread, but this is probably a better place for it.

I don't think Fox has a whole lot of options. Sunday is now animation night; Tuesday and Thursday are drama nights; Saturday is Cops night.

Wednesdays leaves after That 70s Show, and Fridays is the comedy morgue. Monday seems the best remaining options.

The rumored Monday at 8 is against King of Queens (CBS) and Wife Swap/Bachelor (ABC). I'm not sure what are on the netlets WB/UPN.

I just hope moving even earlier doesn't get PTC all over AD. That being said, Monday nights might be a really good fit. I'm just glad it's getting to move with the grownups. And I hope Darren Star's new comedy works.

I think its a great move. Its not up against a HUGE show like it was on sundays.

I like the Monday thing, but would have preferred 8:30 instead of 8. I'd be afraid that it would falter as a lead-off... and yeah, there's that PTC thing... not that any of us give a BLEEEP what they think....

Does anyone know what happens come January? People are saying that when American Idol returns, House moves to Mondays at 8, followed by 24. What happens to AD? Or do they try to show 22 new episodes from Sep-Jan?

So up against Monday Night Football? Not sure if that'll do magic with the numbers.

Hmmm....that won't be a problem for people in EST, because I'm pretty sure that MNF starts at 9 pm EST. But I can see how that can potentiall hurt our ratings further west.

I don't think the move will be bad. I'm excited because I never have anything to watch before MNF comes on. Also, I can't wait to see Kitchen Confidential b/c I love me some Bradley Cooper.

Monday Night Football is now on ESPN so ABC will have a different show in that time slot.

As long as it's 8 Eastern, I'm good.

They may be doing a compressed season like Alias or 24 has right now. They show all of the episodes with very limited breaks in the schedule. The season only lasts a few months then.

What about baseball in Sept/October?

There are exactly 22 weeks between the begining af Sept. and end of Jan. If Fox has baseball in the fall, I'd assume there's a good possiblity of at least a one or two games falling on a monday night. Anybody know?

Pure speculation on my part but...might they bring back AD a little early? Maybe in August? And could that be what the "returns in the summer" note on the website means?
