George B., Sr.

Does anyone else's favorite character change about every week, like mine does?

I have to say that the more I watch, the more I realize how much I love Jeffrey Tambor's rendition of George Sr. He is my new favorite!! I think this one's gonna last.
I love this show so much it's not healthy. I have no problem with that.

During the first seaon my favorite would change with each episode. Now, if I had to pick one or two, I would have to go with Gob and Maeby as my favorites. George Michael is steadily gaining, though, as his performance in "Good Grief" was wonderful.

Regarding Jeffrey Tambor, I couldn't agree more. His Oscar and PopPop characters work so well as contrasts of one another, I allow myself to forget they're the same actor.

I don't find Oscar interesting at all, but George Sr. is great, although I still view him as "Supporting."

On the topic of favorites, yeah, I think: Gob, Michael, Maeby, George Michael, and Buster have all been favorites. Tobias and Lucille are bit too much of a characature to be anything more than supporting, although they are excellent.

He's a good actor, but I don't know if I like him the best. I love almost all of them!

It's been pretty hard to think of George Sr. as favorite because all of last season he was behind bars. Still, he's had some great lines, and of course Jeffrey Tambor is extremely talented!

I think George Sr. is very funny, but yeah he is still sort of "supporting" as apposed to "lead." Although with this cast, the distinction is very difficult indeed.

But he was better last season because he was the know it all who was too cool, putting everyone down. While this year he's showing signs of weakness, being bent out of shape over Lucille.

Wow.

Anybody here.

After rewatching the first season today I developed a love for George Sr.

And my little brothers recognized him as the guy from Muppets in Space to boot.

Oh man.

George Sr. isn't my favorite, but he's definitely funny.

I love when he had a tea party...

Yeah, like anyone would want to "R" her.

I saw The Spongebob Squarepants movie only because Jeffrey Tambor was in it.

What!!!!

Jeffery Tambor was in the SPSP movie?

Now I have to go see that... I've don't have Nick so I haven't even seen an episode, but I've heard people talk about it. Now I'm intrigued.

I loved the George Sr. George Michael moments in good grief, classic, and one of my favorite scenes was when Tobias and George Sr. meet in the attic.

"You horse's ass. Stop licking my hand."

Does it strike anyone else as odd that we've never heard George Sr. or Oscar say "Hey now"?
