When the president of rival company Sitwell Housing Inc. hires away G.O.B. in an effort to win the big company softball game against the Bluth Co., Michael asks G.O.B. to throw the game. G.O.B. grapples with the idea, but finds his new boss supportive and fatherly, which catches him off guard. Meanwhile, Lindsay takes anti-depressants and the bizarre side effects include hallucinations and a strong sense of team spirit.

George Michael: Maybe-Maybe now, I’ll get a kiss.

Michael: Okay.

George Michael: I... Oh. I meant from Ann.

That cracked me up.

"I just want my kids back!"

Yeah I noticed that banner too! That was great.

One of the best jokes is how GOB met Gary again, and quickly went back to his old ways, even though he knows that he’s coming on to him. Perhaps GOB is bisexual after all...

Technically, she’s a funke, not a bluth. And biologically, she’s not a bluth.

Still, I was also wondering why they didn’t ask Maeby...

We watched this on sunday night in the UK. It was good, I thought the kiss was funny - very awkward and also that guy with no hair.

GOB: You look suprised

Oh Sorry I must have put it on too high. :P

Neither is Ann... But here are some theories on why Maeby wasn’t on the Bluth team:

1. They might have already asked her, but she said no since she had to finish that book report and go with Tobias to the studio.

2. They tried to ask her, but couldn’t contact her.

3. She might have already been on the team, we just didn’t see her (George Michael did say they needed some GIRLS on the team - note the plural - Maeby might’ve been the only one).

Watched a bunch of episodes on the Season 2 DVD this weekend, and I noticed something hilarious on "Switch Hitter" that I don’t believe was mentioned before.

When Buster is marching in line with the drill sergeant barking at him, it’s a frame-by-frame recreation of the opening credits of "Gomer Pyle." Even Buster’s facial expressions are an exact copy.

Can’t believe I missed that the first time around. I know it’s somewhat obscure, but many a summer afternoon was spent watching reruns (along with Hogan’s Heroes, McHale’s Navy, Bewitched and I Dream of Jeanie.)

I watched this ep again yesterday, and noticed something: when GM’s trying to convince Michael to let Ann play on the team, Michael makes the exact squinty face that GOB uses in GM’s campaign video in Immaculate Election. I realize that that url goes to the pic from the campaign vid, but that shot is definitely a screencap from Switch Hitter, you can see that GM has the same shirt on: http://the-op.com/media/image2.php?ep=207&i=1862

yeah i noticed that picture of michael in the campaign video. it is definitely just a screencap, like you said. a week or so ago, i actually took a screencap from switch hitter when michael makes the face to see if it was the same pic from the campaign video.

Does anyone know what brand of chair GOB sits in when he is hired by Sitwell? It’s got a brown leather back. It makes me think it’s a Steelcase, but I can’t find that style on their site.

Can anyone help me? I’d get a picture, but The OP’s image archives don’t go that far.
