Magical Arrested Development Tour, Part I

Part one of the M.A.D. Tour.

From Consolidated Press.

Winning a walk-on role to the set of FOX’s Arrested Development isn’t as easy as you’d think. Sure, you could enter as many American Express Blue Card or Klimpy’s Sweepstakes as you want—but really, what are the chances? Surely less than one in five. But even though you can’t step foot in a Bluth model home, there are still plenty of other shooting locations from the show you can visit.

Tips: Bring a digital camera and a companion with you. To assist you in your adventure, download images from The O.P. and load them into your digital camera. This will help you attain accuracy in finding these locations and getting the shots. Dont stop there, have your friend take the photos and throw yourself into the frame. Let’s face it—it’s the closest you’ll ever get to being on the show!

On this tour, we visit:

Wow, this is so cool, wish I lived in California rather than Michigan...it’s so cold...

It’s funny because you can see the gas prices went down since the episode.

The Klimpy’s is on Stark St, just east of I205 in Portland, OR. Note the Holiday Inn Express in the backgrouns.

Man, I’m right in this very West LA area and I had no idea all these locations were here. I’m jealous you had the time, initiative and a cute gal to drag around for this sort of fun nonsense. Well done!

I actually "snuck on" to the set at fisherman’s village in early 02/05. Seeing the banana stand and portia de rossi was a pretty big thrill. (i kept out of her way though)

Also, I believe alot of the outdoor jail scenes from season 1, plus the Desi Awards (wadsworth theater) were shot at the Veteran’s Administration in westwood/brentwood.

Ummm... psychiatric help? This is not slightly obsessive, but insanely so. They better not have like, used life savings or sold their organs to fly down there, they better be originally from that vicinity.
Pretty funny, but rather scary.
